"Disappointing"
Tiny room, no kettle, dirty floors, tiny windows that don’t open. Water sloshing noice from aircon or neighbours shower.
"Location great and clean, but that’s all the positives! Its a shame, but expect more for £250"
Great location, and clean but that’s the best it gets I’m afraid. Check in was chaotic despite having opted for and paying for the early check in. The check in machines weren’t working so ended up queuing for half an hour in the entrance hall. The room was tiny with no facilities other than a bed tv and shower room. The staff were very busy and fairly quiet and not the most engaging. the veggie breakfast was average at best, and the table needed cleaning. I’d expect better for £250 for one night
"Total lack of basic customer service."
Once again, and this is not the first time. Horrendous long queue at check in - had paid £15 for early check in and self check in machines are not open. Asked twice at checkin for two extra pillows. None received….again had to wait an age at check in for someone to attend when we returned just after 11pm. Was promised by the gentleman he would deliver them to the room within 20 minutes. Asked why he couldn’t get them now and he advised he was busy with something in the office. Again pillow never arrived. Hideously noisy air con as well and terrible nights sleep. This isn’t the first time this has happened as well as had exactly the same experience at The Hub in Westminster. It just feels they couldn’t care less about their customers. The Hun is not a cheap gig anymore and I would expect a basic service of providing ample bedding for the customer. Last time I’ll be staying in a hub again…..
"Convenient Location, But Don’t Expect More Than the Basics"
If you want to be close to the train station, this hotel is perfectly located. However, don't expect anything beyond average—it served its purpose for a quick stay, but I wouldn’t stay more than one night. We had a king room that was cozy but showed signs of wear. A used cleaning rag was left in the shower, only two pillows were provided, and the toilet paper was as thin as RV paper. The room lacked basic amenities like a safe or a mini fridge, and the air conditioning unit was noisy—it sounded like a fish tank when running. I asked for extra pillows and was told I had to collect them myself; no staff assistance was available for that. We also paid for early check-in, which turned out to be a waste of money. When we arrived, three parties ahead of us were allowed to check in early without paying extra. The staff told them, “I won’t charge you,” as if it were a special favor. When I mentioned that I had paid for early check-in, I was told no refund was possible and that I was essentially paying to “guarantee” a room—despite others getting the same benefit for free. Bottom line: the room worked for a short stay, but between the lack of amenities, cleanliness concerns, and uneven service, I wouldn’t recommend it for more than a night.
"Recent stay"
We arrived to celebrate a new career path and were greeted by Rita who was very welcoming. We stayed 2 nights and on the first night after returning from dinner, we found a personal hand written note, along with some chocolate/biscuits to celebrate with us. We were very touched by this kind and thoughtful gesture. Thank you Rita for making our stay so special! This was our first stay in a hub premier inn and we had a larger room, which was plenty of space for two. The room was very clean. Comfortable bed. The tea/coffee/water available from the bar/lounge area was really helpful. Breakfast was good, the restaurant was very busy nevertheless the staff were friendly and helpful.
