"If you can, stay at the normal premier inn up the street."
Stayed here as there were a lot of events on, and we couldn't get into the other premier inn we normally stay in. First impressions were good, the hotel looked on, however the staff were a bit rude, making snarky comments when their check-in process didn't work for early check-in (despite being charged for it in advance). I appreciate they probably tell 100 people a day, but there is no excuse for taking it out of the customer. The room was very small, but that was expected as it was cheaper. However, what wasn't expected was how poor the aircon was. It was 29-30c outside, so we expected to put the aircon to 18c (the lowest it went) and be quite comfortable. The room was like a sauna!!! Which left both of us unable to sleep and my husband waking up to a damp bed from sweat. Breakfast was OK, apart from no mugs and rude staff when asked. We asked someone to look at the aircon, were told they would, no evidence of that. The final straw was a nail hanging out of a trunk (used as a coffee table) which caught on my trousers and shredded them. Leaving me with nothing to wear for the event I was going too. The hotel said that someone would get in touch and offer some compensation, surprise, surprise, I've heard nothing. I'm sad to I was not the only one complaining about staff and aircon in the hotel whilst I was there.
"Perfect location, quiet, comfortable"
At just a few minutes away from the tube/train station, the hotel is in a great location. There was no traffic or train noise. The room was so clean and comfortable that the compact size was not an issue. It's well set-up, with space for the luggage under the bed and USB and other charging ports well-placed. The black out blinds were perfect since I was there during the period of +12 hours of sunlight.

"A Hub Convert! Far exceeded my expectations"
When traveling with family we always choose Premier Inn as we know we are guaranteed comfort, space and that all important (for me) air con!! Never tried a Hub before as always minimum 3 of us traveling, where a family room is needed. Taking my daughter to a concert in London and not being organised with a hotel I opted for the Kings Cross Hub last minute. Slightly apprehensive, I imagined a box room, too hot, no privacy - I couldn’t have been more wrong. It was great, from the distance to the train station, to the welcome from staff and easy self service check-in. Heading to our room the hotel was bright and spotlessly clean, with the room itself the same. Great use of limited space in the room - bright, comfortable and cool with good air conditioning. The clever use of lighting to allow for movement around the space without disturbing the accompanying guest was impressive. My daughter and I loved it - just what we needed for 2 nights away where we’d be out most of the time. Communal areas looked bright and relaxing - we didn’t have time to eat in the hotel this time, but wouldn’t hesitate if there again. Generally an upbeat vibe about the place that felt safe and welcoming. I’d certainly recommend and will return to Kings Cross Hub, particularly if traveling by train in to Kings X.
"A gig - we needed a base and this surpassed all expectations."
We need to highlight Rita. A true superstar. From the moment we walked in, we felt more than welcome and genuinely cared for. We went to our gig and came back to a little tray of sweet treats, which was so thoughtful and unexpected. She’s got a super energy about her. The room was spotless. The breakfast staff were lovely. We’ve stayed in many premier inns/other hotels and this is the best one yet. The bedding is ridiculously comfy. All the tech in the room is great. The lounge area downstairs has a lovely friendly vibe. We will definitely be returning. Thank you so much to all.
