"Comfy quiet room in great location"
Great location lots to see nearby, coffee machine in lobby, comfy bed, quiet room even though it was noisy outside. Small but well designed room with pull out shelf under bed for suitcases and hooks for clothes. Only negative was a noisy aircon and the controls were in the bedhead so we kept turning it on accidentally when we were reading in bed at night.
"BEST no frills business trip or a long weekend hotel in London"
it is not the best hotel in London but for a no frills business trip or a long weekend with a couple its perfect. If you don't mind being boxed in tho a bed with only one side open it is perfect! clean, organised and with natural light! Location is PERFECT!
"Great location and clean! Perfect!"
Great location, clean hotel! Loved how the room was controlled by a psnel behind the pillows! Very comfortable! Fab for a night or two!
"Great location in the heart of Theatreland"
We booked a double room as we were attending a show at the London Palladium. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Leicester Square tube station and in a prime spot for Leicester Square and Covent Garden. I was disappointed with how small our room was as it wasn't much bigger than a broom cupboard and the room carpet wasn't very clean, with lots of stains. We couldn't stretch our legs in the bed. However, it was fine for 1 night, and we made do. The breakfast is continental and had pastries, ceral, yoghurt, and bread as well as juice and tea and coffee. There is also iced water. The staff are really helpful and one lady (sorry, I can't remember her name, but I think she was polish) was lovely. I was breathless after being out and walking up loads of stairs, and she was really concerned and gave me a bottle of iced water. We paid about £300 less staying on the Sunday rather than Saturday. The hotel is really nice. But I'm not sure I will stay again due to the room size and carpet stains.
"Disgusting condition"
I stayed at this hotel two years ago and had a satisfactory experience. However this time I was shocked at the run down condition of this hotel, The carpets in the rooms hallways and common areas are filthy with stains everywhere. The furniture in the common areas is so worn that the covers on the bar stools show the underlying wood seat. The fabric furniture is so stained that one doesn't was to even sit on it. In addition, the staff (with a few exceptions) was indifferent to customer comments and distracted to the degree that they do not adequately run this facility. the location is great but I wouldn't stay there again due to the poor conditions. This place needs a complete makeover.
