Tewkesbury hotel

what a miserable place this is. I had the misfortune to arrive to an empty reception, pressed the buzzer twice before the most depressing woman ever eventually came to tell me "the bell does work you know!". Great welcome indeed! Given it was circa 7.30pm i was then advised upon asking that no food was being served next door- even better! Then i had to go through a traumatic wait again for the same woman whilst wanting an ironing board. This time she had a face like i had shot her grannie, but thankfully her colleague was able to help. No invoice given on request when i left and i was told it will be emailed to me..........guess what!!!! Never to return again!

As always we found the Premier Plus rooms very well cared for. Unfortunately the Breakfast service was awful, nothing cooked , many people waiting , one item arriving every 5 to 10 minutes. The worst Premier Inn Breakfast ever taken. Also the new cut down bar restaurant area very stark and unwelcoming.

We have just returned from 5 nights in a premier room at this hotel with pre booked meal deals. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were really good. Unfortunately, we booked for meal deals which should have given us a choice of what was on the menu, but that didn't happen. On the first evening we were told there was no fish and chip or prawns available , which continued every evening, and on the last evening we were also informed there was no pizzas available. The staff were very apologetic and we felt sorry for them having to keep saying they were sorry, when the problem obviously wasn't their fault, but higher restaurant management. Sadly this situation didn't improve. Having stayed at this hotel before several times before and enjoying the food in the previous restaurant, we hope this is not heralding the end of Premier Inns.

A lovely welcome, a clean room and a comfy bed meant we had a great night's sleep. Unfortunately breakfast was dissapointing with only one staff member on duty, she was rushed off her feet.

We regularly stay in Premier inns. This one is the best by far. Easy to find, incredibly comfortable bed and pillows, excellent staff and pretty decent breakfast.
