"Avoid at all costs unless you will be drunk enough not to care."
A terrible room - 315 - in this hotel. No idea what other rooms are like but this was worn out, scruffy and looked unclean. The twin beds had horrible mattresses and cheap linen. The shower did not work very well. The air con kept switching off and the windows are unable to be open so the room was very stale. Worst nights sleep. There is a fable that Premier Inn have nice mattresses. Not in this room. The facilities are so badly thought out it is amazing. There was one small pillow each and a spare pair in a dusty bag above the wardrobe. The besd looked as though they were pulled back over from the last residents. Not well made at all. We were going to a wedding so wanted to check in early and put our best bib and tucker on at leisure. No mirror suitable for make up. Stupid half height place to hang things. The bathroom mirror has reflective lights all round and you cannot get near it because of the sticking out basin. Put my make up on basically blind. The carpets everywhere are so grubby looking that you do not want to take your shoes off though. The food offerings advertised by photograph (yuck) were unappetising so we were never going to spend any money on food in the hotel. There is a scrappy little bar near the reception desk. You would have to be desperate to want to eat or drink in there. I paid extra for early check in only to be told at the reception desk that it is not guaranteed that your room will be ready at 11.. .. why would you pay for it then? The staff checked and. for us our room, such as it was was indeed ready. They were very defensive though as to the validity of the early check in. This hotel needs some redesign and redecoration. Scaffolding all over the front of the building did not help first impressions or the fact that you have to park elsewhere and lug your stuff to the hotel. . By the way the best car park is the one in the High Street. It is open to 24 hour parking at half price of the NCP and is much closer. Altogether was a night we wish not to repeat. If we had not already pre paid we would not have stayed at all. Dreadful.
"Before I was so rudely interrupted"
Was all going well until I received a knock on the door at 11:10am, and then somebody walking into my room at 11:30am. Luckily, I wasn’t indecent. I checked, and the checkout time is indeed 12pm. If you want to start cleaning before then, you need a more adequate system than simply dropping a card into a box to checkout.
"The staff make this place come to life!"
Not the best view of the hotel currently as there is scaffolding across the front of the building, but we had received an email notifying us in advance and this didn't impact our stay in any way. The welcome from Darek was exceptional and every member of the team we encountered was incredibly helpful and friendly, going out of their way to help without even being asked. The hotel is spotless, we had a large comfy room with ample space for 2 additional beds, and it is also perfectly located for exploring the High Street and the Brewery Quarter. I'd happily book again.
"Great stay "
Stayed at Premier Inn Cheltenham from December 2024 to May 2025 aprrox 2/3 times a week Rooms spacious clean Facilities clean and well kept Food and service always great All the team are amazing but Lainey and Tia Always went the extra mile and made my stay here feel like home
"My stay at Premier inn Cheltenham"
The hotel itself was good. The staff were amazing and the room was great. However during my stay all I could hear was this squeaking sound from the ceiling also the rooms aren’t very sound proof. It was extremely noisy at night. Even with my hear things in that didn’t work. The room I had was good enough for one night stay but I don’t think I would say there for longer
