Cheltenham North West hotel

I have stayed here many times over the past couple years. the staff have always been very helpful; would like to give a special shout out to Brandon very professional & always a pleasure to talk with. Rooms a bit tired looking, but no other complaints.

Terrible service from restaurant and bar. A group of 18 of us booked rooms to stay the night before a competition. . It was also my daughters birthday so I enquired if we could all be seated near each other in the restaurant only to be told that the could not accommodate us and take 18 covers. We would have to book at 15 min Intervals . Saturday night we were told they were only serving drinks until 9.30 pm and we were kicked out at 10 because staff wanted to go home !

Arrived at hotel was checked in by a lovely lady called Nicky who was very nice and helpful when we went through door to get to rooms it was a building site very dusty plastered walls plastic on floor no signs saying hazard I suffer with copd and would not have stayed if we had known never got any notification about the works being done work men outside window at 7-45 am very noisy with talking engines on ect had to have Currtains shut as net curtain was 15 inches to small and they would be able to see straight in so no natural light which meant no fresh air either as couldn’t open window so never got much sleep at all was poorly when we left I couldn’t report it to desk as nobody was there and I just needed to get home the photos are right outside my room door

On going building work we were not made aware of. Dirty and noisy. Strong paint smell and drilling . Avoid until completed.

The staff at this hotel were great and the reason we will be going back. The hotel is opposite a big retail park and handy for the motorway. Big thank you to Dawn in the restaurant who was fabulous and could not have done more to meet the needs of our daughter and make our stay special.
