"A great value with outstanding staff"
The staff here were wonderful. Nicola made me feel welcomed and went out of her way to ensure my stay was a good one.
This hotel is very clean but there are no kingsize beds as advertised.

"Warning for POC especially those with disabilities"
Title: Warning for POC & Guests with Disabilities
I am writing this specifically for POC guests and especially with autism/disabilities. My experience here was so distressing that the physical toll of the interaction sent me to the ED after my blood pressure and heart rate went through the roof. Ironically, I was staying at the hotel for respite because of my neurological conditions.
Despite having booking issues caused by the hotel’s own system, I was met with extreme hostility by a receptionist. After loudly knocking 9 times and attempting to enter my room, she demanded to know why I was late in checking out, then began pressuring me to leave by falsely claiming the hotel was fully booked (I showed her live availability on the website, which she ignored).
I explained that I was trying to extend my booking but their system was not allowing my payment to go through and had already issued a cancellation of an earlier attempted booking. Her continued hostility and repeatedly mentioning “checking out” made me realise that she wasn’t interested and merely wanted me to leave. When I explained that I have a neurological condition affecting my blood pressure and needed a few extra minutes to stabilise then pack and leave, she mocked my disability by making a fainting gesture and sarcastically saying, "Ohhh me too, I have high blood pressure."
As a Black guest, the interaction and the ease with which my condition was mocked felt deeply racialised and dehumanising. The staff member involved was a middle-aged Eastern European woman.
When I asked for her name, she refused to provide it telling me not to worry about it and actively tried to hide her name badge :-/.
Guest Relations was dismissive. Their response was a "sorry that happened" followed by victim-blaming. They focused on refusing a refund (which I never even asked for) instead of addressing the blatant misconduct displayed by their staff.
If I could give it zero stars, I would but the 1 star are exclusively for the housekeeping staff. They were kind, understanding, and helpful with the extra bedding I required for temperature regulation. It is a shame the front desk does not share their humanity.
Bottom line: If you are a person of colour especially have a disability, be aware that you will likely not be treated with basic respect at this hotel.

"Amazing experience"
Wonderful stay with excellent service
I recently stayed at Premier Inn Waltham Abbey and had a very positive experience from beginning to end. The reception team was welcoming, professional and always ready to help with a smile.
The hotel had a calm and relaxing atmosphere, which made the stay very comfortable. The room was quiet, cosy and perfect for resting after a busy day. Everything felt well organised and guest focused.
Breakfast was very good and plenty of choice. It’s always nice to stay somewhere where staff make guests feel genuinely welcome.
I would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
