      "Poor for a Premier Inn"
The room looked ok on arrival and the air conditioning was amazing in the 32 degree heat. Unfortunately the free wifi was unusable (connected ok but basic websites were taking 30 seconds to open), only 5 channels worked on the TV (no reception on ITV1, channel 4, channel 5 or many others) and the toilet in my room was leaking. I tried to speak to a member of staff when checking out but as no one was around, I left a note on the reception. Parking is £7.50 a day, payable on exit. We ate at Lakeside but it is a 30 minute walk from the hotel across some very busy roads.
      "Great"
The staff are attentive, kind, considerate and very nice. The evening meal I had wasn't the greatest for the high price.
      "Popular with M25 workers"
I joined a queue of men in hi-viz clothing when I checked in. The self check-in screen was down which would have helped. I have stayed here before and the bar area is very popular. There is an additional £7 parking per night and the parking pays are tight, especially as many staying there have builder’s vans. Very close to Lakeside shopping centre & M25, but surprisingly quiet.
      "Very poor"
Train your staff maybe how to talk to people and ask questions instead of assuming things. Me and my daughter were on a trip for the weekend that was going well until I arrived at premier inn where I was made to feel awful. Your staff member asked my daughter for ID of driving licence or passport well the room is booked for 1 adult and 1 child how is a child gonna have such things and she was persistent in asking and look at me to say it’s to protect the child made me feel horrible. We then went down for food and when asked for drinks I said I will have the 4 bottle deal on beer but at the end it wasn’t on the bill and she said I didn’t ask for it. So then comes the breakfast we go down tell her room number and get told you’ve only booked for 1 I said yeah and kids eat free she just gave a horrible look and I didn’t like how she spoke or greeted us. It’s still playing on my mind now and I’m disgusted at the whole experience not to mention the noise through the night from above my room
      "Disappointing hotel… but decent restaurant."
Tv didn’t work, as in the remote. Entertainment for one night wasn’t there for in room enjoyment. When we got there to stay for one night we paid extra for a £15 early check in but couldn’t check in til 2pm which was one hour before normal check in…. So I feel I wasted money on that. The car park COSTS £7.50 PER NIGHT when that should be included in GUESTS staying. And on top of that it wracked up to me paying over £100 on one night, plus parking and early check in when I didn’t even check in early morning due to no rooms… this did NOT include the drinks and dessert I paid for by the way. The only decent thing was the bed was okay to sleep in, and the restaurant cocktails and dessert. The toilet was.. relatively clean but I did notice a few things that didn’t look clean. As a cleaner myself I know what is what. But i understand that housekeepers try there best. But it definitely wasn’t worth £100.50 total for room, early check in and parking.. I get that it’s close to the malls and things nearby but I’m very very disappointed in my stay and might chose somewhere else next time that’s more budget friendly for just ONE NIGHT.
