"Hotel decent food not so much!"
Check-in wasn’t the easiest and half the self check in monitors didn’t work. Hotel room really nice though and Bed is really comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant and wished we’d not bothered. To be honest we stayed at the Holiday Inn last year and the food wasn’t great there either so if you like McDonald’s give that a try. The food wasn’t great well below average, cold vegetables but the service was very good. Shame the food didn’t match.
"Bed Bug Heaven -steer clear!!"
We stayed on the evening of 24th June arriving at around 9.30pm and checked out at around 6am the following morning to catch our flight. When we got to our house in Spain we found we were covered in bites, checking with local medical advice we were advised that they were bed bug bites and the ONLY place this could have happened was at this hotel. After struggling to get a response from the hotel we contacted customer services and they investigated. They have now come back to say here were no bed bugs but our pictures clearly show us covered in bites. No refund of hotel cost or any compensation from them and I am having to take legal action against them.DO NOT stay here!! By the way we are both cancer sufferes under treatment and this is jut not acceptable

Friendly and helpful staff and comfortable and well kept rooms. Easy booking in. Clean and tidy throughout and the usual comforts from Premier Inn
"A good bed alone does not cut it..."
THE GOOD: overall room cleanliness, great, comfortable bed/ mattress, very good sound insulation from the outside noise. Spacious enough room, good sized bathroom. THE BAD: The customer service at Stansted (airport) Premier Inn where I stayed was very poor. All the employees I encountered were very young (that in itself not an issue), but sadly not properly trained, it seemed. They looked totally bored, uninterested, the "minimum daily requirement" type. They didn't know how to get rid of you more quickly. No clue as to what service with a smile means. For the duration of my stay, there was never someone manning the small reception desk! You have to ring the bell and wait quite a while before someone turns up. I've never seen so much indifference and "I don't care to be bothered" attitude towards customers in any hotel! The restaurant waitress displayed the same lack of enthusiasm and courtesy... Just going through the motions with her job, in a strictly perfunctory manner. As for the food itself, the sirloin steak with trimmings I ordered was sub-par. Poor quality cut of meat, full of "hidden" sinew, and the vegetables, especially the peas (offered in a tiny quantity) tasted terrible, had a chemical smell, most likely out of a tin! The room door had "gaps" all around (not properly fitted), so all the noise from the other visitors' door slamming and heavy stepping from the corridor was leaking in. CONCLUSION: I will think twice before booking with a Premier Inn next time, although I wonder whether this is an isolated case pertaining to Stansted Premier Inn only, or the general level of management for this hotel chain.
