Loughton/Buckhurst Hill hotel

The hotel was conveniently situated. Quite small for a Premier Inn but perfectly fine. Friendly helpful receptionist. The breakfast was wonderful all freshly cooked. I have a food allergy and the lady in the restaurant made sure that I got a fresh bowl of fruit and yoghurt from the kitchen which was above and beyond anything I've had before. Very impressed. Toby carvery on site for evening meal but be aware carvery is the only option.

Very disappointed. I was staying here as I was going to a family party. I arrived just before 3.00pm as that was the time the room should have been available and I was in a hurry to get ready. On arrival I was told that the room was not ready as they were short staffed! I paid just over £100 for this room and was given the key just before 4.00pm. When I complained to the reception staff they were rude and said it was out of their control. They said I could complain to their head office. When I called I was told the key was used just after 3.00pm, this must have been the maid getting the room ready it certainly was not me. They said I had to email my complaint. Not acceptable.

Good location with plenty of local shops and walks. Room was clean and the staff friendly and efficient. Parking on site was easy. I would have expected a small fridge and air con in the room ( we got a portable fan instead ) as the room was fairly basic for the price which was quite high.

Super friendly staff, clean & comfortable room, great shower and yummy breakfast. We hope to be back again in the future. Thank you.
