"Great location near the ferry terminal."
Have stayed here multiple times over the years. Good hotel for one night if you want to stay near the StenaLine ferry terminal. Rooms are a bit dated here and there but clean. Window can’t fully open and no aircon but a ventilator was provided (and needed!). There is enough parking around the hotel but out of experience I know it is not the safest area around it. There is plenty of CCTV around though. There is the Mayflower Pub Restaurant next to it with typical British Pub Food, but also a Lidl if you just want some healthier options or lichter bites. Staff is all very friendly and helpfull.
    "Lovely hotel. Needs air con"
Lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean and breakfast was lovely. Beds are comfy and very pleasant, friendly staff. They were able to accommodate early check in, which was much appreciated. No air conditioning in the rooms, though. We did have a stand up fan, which helped.
    "Not happy"
Restaurant closed at 21.00 Sunday as we arrived off the ferry from Holland: no food or drink available on site, we felt hungry and helpless. Cellar chiller was on all night outside our window so little sleep. Will be glad to use new Travelodge nearby next time instead.
    "Hot & loud"
Great location for the ferry. Friendly staff in the hotel & restaurant but, the room was very hot & stuffy. The fan they provided could have been replaced by a pair of stunned Butterflies. Also, whilst probably beyond their control, we awoken at about midnight by a large group of rowdy, non resident, foreigners making their protracted way past the hotel.
    "Too hot in summer."
Room was sooo hot. No air con so a poor night's sleep was had by all. Positives were clean room and friendly staff. Wouldn't book again in hot weather.
