"Spotlessly clean and fantastic staff!"
We stayed after arriving back in the UK by ferry. The hotel was fine. A bit dated, especially the bathroom. But spotlessly clean! From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Comfortable room, fresh clean bedding and towels. What more could you need! When we checked out we met Toni (at the desk) and a gentleman assembling an office chair (I think!) They were so friendly and offered to help with my bags and bike. The staff here are a credit to Premier Inn. Give these guys a massive bonus! Thank you!

Booked the Stay Dinner and Breakfast package as had the early ferry the following morning to be told at check in due to maintenance issues they couldn't honour the dinner and breakfast bit and basically tough, Nice of them to wait until check-in so alternate arrangements couldn't be made the place is pretty average overall apart from that, Wouldn't use again.

"Disappointing"
Booked 2 rooms at the Premier Inn Harwich, rather than the nearby Travelodge (which was substantially cheaper) for a one night stay. I also pre-booked breakfast for us all. We would have most probably had our evening meal and drinks there too but....Very disappointed to find a "Restaurant closed until Sunday lunch" sign on the door. On checking in, I was almost charged for the non-existent breakfast until I quoted my booking confirming the price. So, no breakfast, no bar and no dinner. Very poor. I would have saved myself a considerable amount if I had known this beforehand and would have booked Travelodge. Maybe that's why there was no mention of the restaurant/bar closure on the website booking page.
Staff were friendly and helpful, as I usually find at Premier and the rooms were clean, comfortable and tidy. Those two categories got you the two stars, otherwise it would have been zero.

Good hotel, good beds, close to the harbor.
LOVELY AND FRIENDLY STAFF.
We stay here every time we come over.
At the end of the day we pop in to the bar for a drink and relaxing.
Great sphere, lots of fun.
Don't want an other hotel to stay in.
We definitely recommend.
Value for your money.

It may be one of the Haven Ports, but there's a lot more to Harwich than boats and water, as a stay at Premier Inn Hotel Harwich will tell you. We're great as a stopover if you're catching the ferry, but there's also plenty to do here even if you're not sailing away.
Spend your morning wandering the picturesque streets of Harwich, stumbling across some delightful buildings that date back centuries. Or catch a train to Colchester, Britain's oldest town, to see the castle or visit the world-famous zoo. The Edwardian seaside town Felixstowe is nearby too. Then come back to the hotel for some tasty food at our Premier Inn restaurant and a lovely, comfy bed.
