"Clean Rooms. Friendly Helpful Reception."

Friendly & Helpful Welcome. The room was ready, clean and well presented. Free Car Parking on site Right next door to the A12 and a Restaurant. Also 5 minutes drive away from shops including a large supermarket. Get a room on the opposite side from the A12 if available. They are quieter. Premier are replacing the blue coffee tables and comfy chairs with a sofa. Not good for us so thank you for giving us one of the few rooms that had a chair although we still missed the round blue table. Variable pricing means that value for money will depend on what you pay. At under £50 this was good VFM

"Great hotel"

Stayed here a few times, get what you expect from a premier inn. Is located next to busy A12, but there is noise reduction windows, black out curtains. Staff always willing to help, extra tea and coffee, extra pillows. Cant fault the hotel.

"Not outstanding but ok-ish"

The location of this hotel was excellent for our pesonal purposes and the restaurant attached to it was of good quality. I was not that impressed that the reception was un-manned at the time of our arrival due to the fact that the receptionist was on a cigarette break outside (this happened nearly every time we walked through reception). She was very helpful though as we needed to book another room for my 85 yr old Mother. Her room was an assisted room and all I can say is that I'm glad she didn't need any help! The door on the toilet was so heavy and awkward that she could hardly open or close it. The bathroom had a bath which, although lower than normal, she had trouble getting in to it. I would have expected a wet room at least. There was no telephone in her room so she couldn't contact anybody if needed (she doesn't own a mobile phone!) and there was dust all around the skirting board! I thought everywhere was supposed to be extra clean?! Our room had the dust and what looked like mildew on the floor of the bathroom. My husband said there was a lot of hair down the plughole but I didn't see that. Again, what happened to the cleanliness due to Covid? I didn't say anything due to the fact we weren't in the room much but someone else might! The one thing that really bugged me though was the fact that for 2 nights (the last 2) of our stay the lift that was broken made an incessant noise every 10 seconds (for the 1st) and every now and again for the second. We didn't sleep much during those nights. Saying this it probably won't stop us from staying there again but we will make sure next time that things are cleaner and we are not in a room near the lift!!

"Have been at better Inns than this one"

I made a visit last Saturday night. I had been driving all day knowing that a good room would await me. Covid 19 wise, it was amazing couldn't fault the measures in place. That was where it ended. When I got in the room I was very disappointed that there wasn't a plug available on either side on the bed, they were on the opposite side of the room. I wanted to plug in the phone and alarm, beside the bed but I couldn't. USB ports were available but it would be great to have a mix. I also found in my room that WiFi wasn't available, I was hoping for help from reception as it wouldn't connect to my device. I was passed off very quickly to a phone number that I could call, at my expense. The woman behind the desk could have helped more I feel, by Premier Inn standards. My final issue was with trying to close and secure the bathroom door. I couldn't in the end. My feedback I feel fell on deaf ears when reported in the morning. Ultimately I couldn't wait to leave. I left before breakfast that I generally enjoy but thought I would rather get on the road instead. Overall I was thoroughly disappointed.

"Can’t believe twice in a row"

After staying last week & having difficulties with the broken shower & non existent WIFI, I changed rooms, and would you believe it, a broken shower and non existent WIFI again. I honestly would have thought that the rooms could & would be checked for issues before you put paying guests in them. Wait until there all moved in then offer them a room change. Not very good business sense, and does leave a bad memory for you guests.
