Newhaven hotel

Great stay bed was very comfortable the staff were friendly and professional room was nice. Look out for Mia she was a great host in the restaurant

A standard PI but all on one level which suited me. It is near Sainsburys but otherwise off a very busy road into the town and port. Good service and staff. My main complaint was about the restuarant which i notice has now closed. It should have gone some weeks back or been properly staffed. I had to leave and go to Mcdonalds after waiting an hour for a gammon and chips. Poor management by Whitbreads or whoever.

Bed Bugs! Avoid at all cost! We stayed there as a familly in August 2026, and we are still struggling (in Oct 26) to get read of the bed bugs we got form there!

Stayed 2 separate nights, one night at either end of a trip to France. Pluses: very convenient for ferry terminal, bike friendly (no problem booking ground floor rooms to accommodate bikes), reception staff were excellent and very helpful, clean and comfy rooms, very quiet. Downsides: breakfast was good but chaotic and cutlery on tables not very clean; on 2nd stay room had no cups or tea/coffee making stuff but this was rapidly sorted out by reception. Would happily stay here again.

The staff on reception I would give 5*, very welcoming and friendly. Thats where it ends, we booked last minute, we stay in a lot of Premier Inns and have never had a problem. Our room was dirty, there were cobwebs in the bathroom, the table legs had so much dust on them you could write your name in it. People staying there allowed their children to run up and down the corridors @ 11pm screaming that we had to go to reception and ask them to stop it. Breakfast the next day was chaos, not enough staff, tables were dirty and clearly not cleaned often as very sticky, was told that the food would be about 15 minutes, food good when came, but did not want to stay in that restaurant longer than necessary, didn't want to touch anything because just felt unhygenic, had to ask for plates and make our tea in paper cups as normal cups had run out. Not the best experience for a premier inn.
