"Very Disappointing Stay Not Worth Your Money"
Very disappointing stay. I paid £130 for the room but found the cleanliness far below what I expected, including fecal stains and debris in the toilet, dirty surfaces and a disposable vape left on the floor. The room was also extremely hot, with an ineffective fan, and I struggled to contact the hotel beforehand about extending my stay. The reception staff were friendly and helpful when I spoke to them, but overall, for £130, I expected a much higher standard and unfortunately would be hesitant to stay at Premier Inn again.

"Poor service and not enough help to resolve,"
Service poor, Room had unpleasant smell. Breakfast was not cooked after order, waiting for an hour, and staff seemed noncantlent in the restaurant. No white bread for 3 days stay. Locked out of the room on 2rd day as they double booked. No explanation and no apologies. Not good.

"Shocking unhelpful management and we cancelled our stay"
I booked the Premier Inn well in advance for a family wedding, for both my adult daughters and their boyfriends. Having driven all the way to Sussex from the Isle of Wight and paid for early check in so they could get ready for the wedding a few hours later, one of my daughters was refused staying at the hotel because she did not have any ID on her. All the other party members did, but she did not as her ID had been stolen in Spain the week before. She had not travelled with her passport as she was only attending a family wedding for the night before returning home. Her boyfriend who shared her room had his ID to prove he was over 18 but they would not let her stay with him or her 21 year old sister. They would not accept a photograph of her passport, nor when I was called and attended would they accept my word she was 19, my picture on a separate device of her passport or in any way accommodate what was a unusual situation with mitigating circumstances. No common sense was applied. The 'manager' essentially said "computer says no" Little Britain style. She said their T&C's wouldn't allow her to use her discretion. The T&C's do not actually state that a physical ID is required - just that we must bring a photo ID to show which we did in the form of Passport on our phones. She bizarrely said my daughter could stay with me in the room if I stayed - even though she had no proof that I was actually her mother, but she couldn't stay with the other adult booked in that room. The whole thing 2 hours before a wedding was highly stressful and unnecessary. The service and rationale was totally belligerent and made no sense. If a mother cannot verify her daughter's age then who can. Needless to say in the face of such rigidity and un-helpfulness we cancelled our booking and found other accommodation down the road in Seaford at The White Lion - cheaper and included breakfast and super friendly and helpful. Will not be booking again.

"A good, comfortable hotel, ideal for the local area."
A very good, comfortable hotel for visiting Newhaven and surrounding areas, or equally if anybody is intending to use the ferry service to Dieppe and need a hotel stay in Newhaven. The staff are very helpful and friendly, they let me leave my luggage there before and after my check in, plus the hotel is opposite a big Sainsbury's which is super convenient for shopping. The breakfast is also really tasty, located in the pub next door, although during my stay there were not serving dinner (not a problem for me as I had other plans but I don't know if this is a temporary or permanent issue). Overall, a decent, comfortable and value for money stay. I recommend it.

"Some good, some bad, and some average"
Arrived after a nightmare drive, looking forward to a nice relaxing evening meal, but the reception had bad news. The Brewers Fayre would be closed due to "staffing problems". It would have been nice to have been forewarned. We had to try to find somewhere to eat in a strange town.
We knew that there was no aircon at this hotel, but there was no fan in our room as promised (this was promptly rectified).
Otherwise the hotel and staff were quite adequate.
Good points - free parking - convenient location - good room.
Not sure what they are hoping to gain with getting rid of Beefeater etc but it has caused us problems on our last few stays at premier inns. Might have to consider other hotel chains unless they can sort things out.
