"Manager with a very poor attitude, conflicting information on early check in."
Confirmation e-mail states early check in cannot be pre-booked, whereas manager who checked us in contradicted that (“We don’t send out those emails “). Manager was rude, including to another couple behind us. We asked for the room to be cleaned, confirmed the request twice, and it wasn’t. They apologized. Location was convenient, which explains why this was not rated lower.
"Does what it says on the tin"
We hadn't stayed in a Premier Inn for ages, but based on this experience we will use again. Great location, clean and comfortable.
"Lewis car parks!"
We were heading to Glyndebourne and consequently required overnight accommodation. The hotel was adequate, clean, friendly staff, generally what we expected. However we had great difficulty finding overnight parking in the town and the hotel were unable to help with accurate information regarding the car parks. They gave us incorrect information which caused considerable inconvenience.
"No nonsense clean efficient stay with good quality good. It was all we needed."
This is a very efficient clean, quality hotel. Very easy to stay here. We had everything we could possibly need. They even allowed us to take our bikes to our rooms as they were clean. Breakfast was served from 6:30 which was a bonus and was good quality. If you need a no nonsense place to stay then this is it. Ideal if you are passing through like us or working locally
"Not the best"
We had three nights here. Front of house staff were excellent. There is a carpark outside that you can use from 5 PM to 9 AM. If you want something outside of those hours there is a small NCP car park close by. Our room was very clean initally. We asked to have it cleaned on our first morning as this is only done on request. The room was worse after the clean - toilet paper on the floor in 3 different places and instead of replacing our dirty towels that were hung back up. After that we didn't ask for any more cleaning however they still came into the room, even with the 'do not distrub' sign on, on one other day! We had breakfast there each day. Friday was cooked to order and very good. The weekend is self service and on the sunday there was no scambled eggs or vegan sausages available. we had dinner that one night which was ok and good value but the restaurant was desserted!

Set right in the heart of the tranquil town of Lewes, our Premier Inn Lewes Town Centre hotel is the perfect place to escape to. Not only is the charming high street right on our doorstep, but we’re surrounded by stunning countryside too – scenery-lovers can explore Malling Down Nature Reserve while hikers can take on Firle Beacon or Mount Caburn. East Sussex holidays with the kids wouldn’t be complete without visiting Drusillas Park and Brighton Pier, and Lewes Castle and Lewes Priory are well worth a visit for a taste of local history too. Plus, if you’re planning on visiting Lewes in early November, you’re in for a treat – this town is famous for its bonfire and fireworks display, and hosts one of the biggest events in the UK! When you’re peckish in the evenings, you can look forward to tucking into delicious dishes in our Thyme restaurant before enjoying a great night’s sleep on super-comfy bed.
