"Not really premier plus but clean"
Clean room but not sure that it’s a premier plus? 2cups in family room which was small. Friends beds not made up so had to make ourselves at midnight after checking in even though had called to say arriving late. Parking is in small public carpark -full on both days, but managed to get space (small carpark again) in NCP nearby
"Lovely hotel, read my review about parking as will help u."
Small and refurbished hotel, right in the centre of lewes so cafes, restaurants pubs and so many independent shops. I had a premier plus room on the 2nd floor, as u expect from premier inn was delighted with the room, clean, comfy, modern, the rainfall shower is worth the extra alone, plus mini fridge, relaxing chair and iron and board, they really thought about everything even adding a coffee pod machine. I ate at the restaurant both breakfast and dinner using the meal deal,.so much better value, they offer the usual continental and full English with the full English still unlimited but in quieter times.its cooked to order, which was still yum. Dinner they have new burgers and def worth the visit. I also ate out visiting the local bakeries and had a nice evening eating and drink at the Dorset Pub which is only.5 minute walk through the town. Plenty of outdoor picnic benches and great food. Now the biggest things most people worry or complain about is the parking, this worried me before hand so paid to park on someone's drive nearby using a parking app but now I know the situation I realised when I.come back for work purposes there are better options. Friars walk car park directly behind the hotel. This is free from 5pm every eve to 9am every morning, u can pay £2 for 2 hours parking so if u needed to be there at 15.10 then u can keep your car there , or.vice versa if u arrive after 5pm then pay the £2 at 9am the next morning and u have until 11am. That said if u need to leave it all.day etc thier is a ncp car park opposite that u can use, this has security and gates as.is a.small compound that rents out vans etc but I spoke to them and they always have spare.space and only £5.95 for.24 hours so great value.
"Well situated hotel in middle of town"
The plus room was very comfortable but the bathroom difficult to use. There is only a rainshower and no hand held unit and it is impossible to use the bath as the soap containers are at the level of the shower. Breakfast was disappointing however the staff were friendly and helpful
"Needs more staff presence"
This was my third stay here but I don’t think there’ll be a fourth. For the first time ever, I didn’t feel safe checking in. There were people drinking in reception and outside. The only staff I encountered in my whole stay was an overworked breakfast waitress. I had to check in (and out) and obtain my own key without seeing a receptionist. It was also pretty pricey for what it was: four times the cost of my last premier inn stay earlier in the year. I had been prepared to pay that for convenience, but it was a soulless and uninspiring stay. The room was fine and clean, although the premium room still only had a shower over the bath. And the nespresso machine worked, with extra milk available in reception. However, breakfast was the real disappointment. The food was good but the restaurant was dirty and the service incredibly slow. Like unbelievably slow, despite there being people only at a handful of tables. Running out of plates and glasses, spillages on surfaces and floor all smacked of not having enough staff. From reading the other reviews, maybe I just struck unlucky with breakfast, but beware.
"Wow"
Wow... What a fantastic team! Ali with a 5 star welcome and check in! Martha attentive to my every need and the manager despite struggles with temperature control during the night and issues with technology made my breakfast and checkout smooth and easy... And a guarantee of a free stay if I didn't sleep well. Unfortunately I didn't sleep well... But that's another story. Ed Mitchell
