"Very friendly staff / perfect location"
We stayed at this premier inn again as we always are met with very friendly and welcoming staff . Especially Dawn on reception / bar / restaurant. Very friendly and welcoming . Will do anything for you. I would like to mention Jadey too in the kitchen , always gives us an honest view and recommendations on the menu . Couldn’t be happier with staying here . Location perfect for shopping as very near the town and only a short walk from the station . Only downside at the moment is the NCP car park ( Trinity Place) which we previously used is no longer in use by NCP. It has been taken over by Blueparking . It says to scan to QR code on arrival , but that doesn’t work . You need to go into the Blueparking website and pay that way . All a bit of a faff tbh ? Hopefully they will get that sorted soon. I know it’s nothing to do with the Premier Inn , but it where you would naturally park when staying overnight or longer as not on street parking at The premier inn . Also there is currently a lot of road alterations going on so your Google maps may get confused?

"Our recent overnight stay."
We looked forward to our stay but unfortunately it wasn't as good as usual. Although our room was comfortable and we did sleep well our breakfast was a real let down. Our food was partly cold and a dry croissant so obviously not fresh. The presentation of our breakfast was off putting and my husband had one of his fried eggs overcooked and mushrooms looked tired and inedible. It's a shame really and there needs to be improvement.

"Impossible to sleep"
Impossible to sleep because the room was so hot and airless. The window was unopenable and the aircon didn't go below 19 degrees. In desperation I went to reception for a fan at 3.30am. A truly terrible night's sleep and definitely not the 'Good Night Guarantee ' that Premier Inn promises.

"Breakfast not worth the money"
Hotel was very basic compared to some other prems we’ve stayed in , staff were friendly but seemed to be doing everything from reception to cooking , no hygiene rules obviously in the kitchen as they were cooking in there plain clothes ( no overalls ) also the breakfast wasn’t worth the money , it was a cook to order but the presentation of the buffet for continental was very basic
One major thing was on the website it recommended Eastbourne rail station to park No !!!! We spent a lot of money and the 24 hour parking runs out at 3.:59 am which is crazy after we done this the receptionist told us about other parking places which should have been on the website for the hotel

"Bed bugs and a lie!"
Me and my partner booked to stay from the 3rd-6th at Eastbourne town centre premier inn room number 3.
On the 5th we discovered an adult bed bug in our bed I killed it in some tissue and stripped the bed back as best as we could the mattress protecter wasn’t fully zipped up but we didn’t find anything else. There was some blood on the sheet so one of us has potentially been bitten (we checked our body’s but couldn’t be sure if there was bites or spots)
I proceeded to take the bug in the tissue down to reception where I asked to be moved rooms the manager on the day Pasqua was extremely helpful and understanding she moved us to room 302 as it was the only room available The room we have been placed into I knew it wasn’t disabled friendly (hand rails ect) but my wheelchair won’t even fit through the door to the bathroom meaning I’m having to use the disabled toilet downstairs in the hallway to wash brush teeth and toilet which was frankly draining and tiering and honestly embarrassing for me not to mention very unhygienic.
We asked if we could wash our belongings in the building as it was easter Sunday and was hard to find a laundromat open we wasn’t allowed to however we was given directions to the outside ones around the back of the building. When we got there none of the machines were working.
Luckily my partners mother and sister live within 30 minutes drive of the hotel and we was able to do our washing as we needed clean pjs for our last night .
We had to have to pay taxis back and forth late at night so I’m safe to go pick up our night clothes.
He’s soster had to bring out her unwell newborn baby to pick him up to drive him to he’s mothers to wash our clothes he’s mother also had to stay awake late at night washing our clothes and bags which has been completely inconvenient and absolutely unfair to he’s family and the baby.
We have paid he’s sister fuel money aswell as money to he’s mum for using her electricity all of which could’ve been prevented. This has now ruind not just our last full day but also tomorrow morning as we now need to get up early and check out early to get our wet clothes from he’s mum to find somewhere to dry them along with our luggage bags insted of what our original plan was for our last morning here
This has caused our last full day and night here to be extremely stressful and a massive inconvenience not just to us but he’s family aswell. We haven’t even spent time together to explore or even for him to be with me and be my caregiver for disability’s which is very unsafe!.
A free dinner and breakfast is a kind gesture however it’ll probably cost the hotel maximum £40 that simply doesn’t cut it. I cannot even have the free meal as my health intails eating makes me sick and I have to sleep which I can’t do as I need to leave the hotel to get my belongings for the night as well as not being able to have the free breakfast because I would need to sleep afterwards and I can’t do that because of the rushing around to dry our belongings.
This has caused extreme stress and upset aswell as a massive inconvenience.
To add to this situation I was having a conversation with dawn and a lady who had just started her night shift we was talking about the protocol and what happens in this situation where I was told room 3 was off limits and room 2 as bed bugs can move room to room. The occupants of room 2 had also been moved rooms for the week until the sniffer dog has come out and action had been taken for the bed bugs. I saw an elderly man who was blind with a stick check into the hotel the day before or the day of the incident. Just before we checked out I bumped into him and he’s carer where I asked what room he was in and she told me room 2! So protocol has NOT been put into place and staff have lied about moving room 2. I couldn’t help but feel the hotel have taken complete advantage of this man’s disabilities which is absolutely disgusting and disgraceful as he wouldn’t be able to see if there was bugs inside he’s room.
To add I emailed guest relations a week ago they stated I’d hear from them within 5 days still nothing
