"Avoid Avoid Avoid"
If you like good customer service and nice edible food delivered in a reasonable time this is not the place for you. NOW, if you like employees who would rather poke their eyeballs out with a blunt spoon than bother with guests, this is definitely the place for you.
If, now this is a big If, if you like to wait well over an hour for a burger that could smash the windows in McDonald's across the road, then you will absolutely love this place, and I would get 2 drinks if you manage to catch a member of team here otherwise you may die a slow painful death from dehydration. Other than that is a cracking little place, oh other than the toilets dont flush properly, oh and dont ask for a fan for the room coz they are thick will dust. But if you look past all this minor bits you will love it. Always end on a positive.......erm free parking, boom.

"New minimslist rooms lack usability"
The new linimalist design is just awful and lacks basic usability. For example there are four electrical sockets three feet up a wall and a usb port four feet up a wall but there is no adjacent desk to rest devices on, let alone work on. Don't bother trying to hang up clothes because you can barely move the hangars in the rail. The TV sound is limited to 15 so with my restricted hearing I can't hear it properly. And dont try to check-in using the premier inn app because there is no signal so that doesn't work eithrr
I used to enjoy Premier Inns but this has caused me to review my opinion of the brand drastically.

"Enshitification of the Premier In continues"
Booked in for business, 2 nights.
Checked in ok, and got up to my standard room fairly quickly. This Premier Inn has been re-done recently and what i noticed was how bare the room felt. Gone are the desk, the sofa and most wardrobe space. It felt like a Travelodge room, or worse. The carpets are plasticy. The whole thing felt too minimal, cheap and tacky.
Oh and no air con in the room, although this is mentioned on their website in some tiny section. This place will be unbearable at the height of summer!
I made the mistake of including breakfast. I've had some great Premier Inn breakfasts, but when they are made to order. In their latest cost cutting that's gone, and is instead a buffet. This meant the food was drier than a dehumidifer both mornings.
Tip: Save some money and go for a McDonalds breakfast which is just over the road!
I made the mistake of trying dinner in the new Social restaurant, which replaced the pub that used to be on site. In short it was awful; worst meal of my life. You have to book at reception, except they don't pass that on to the restaurant. They had run out of a third of the mains by 7:30PM, and the hotel wasn't that busy. The food quality itself was dire; chicken wings drowned in a whole bottle of sauce, and a burger that had been cooked - no sorry re-heated to within an inch of its life. The chips were burnt too. It's basically a really bad Weatherspoons.
Only McDonalds is within Walking distance, and there aren't a huge number of restaurants on Deliveroo in the area. If you want a good meal you'll need to drive.
Would i go again? No, there are better hotels at a similar price like the Eastern Sussex National. Sadly this looks like the direction Premier Inn are going, undercutting Travelodge in terms of quality. They won't be around much longer at this rate!
