Eastbourne (Polegate) hotel

The bedroom floor is very dirty. The fan is clogged with dirt. It looks like the vacuum cleaner is used only once a month! Of the hotel's two buildings, only the newer one has air conditioning. Naturally, rooms in this building are the most sought-after. It wouldn't be a major issue if the windows in the non-air-conditioned building could be opened wide. However, that is not the case; the opening is insufficient : it's hot and it smells bad. Only 5 parking spaces for people with disabilities. Completely inadequate ! The result: impossible for me to park in one of these spaces during my entire stay. Impossible to communicate by email: the hotel doesn't have one. In 2026, modern communication methods should be adopted! I was therefore very dissatisfied with this hotel and certainly will not stay at a Premier Inn hotel again in the future.

We Stayed at the Polegate Eastbourne during the air show weekend in August 2026. The room was fine, the beds were ok, the breakfasts were good and the staff helpful, friendly and approachable. Our only issue was there was no air conditioning in the room and it wasn’t possible to open the window more than a crack. It was impossible to have a good nights sleep during our stay because we were in another heatwave! We were provided with a little fan but this proved quite ineffective because 3 of us in a family room with little to no ventilation. Whilst of course I’m not blaming Premier Inn for the heatwave they need to provide air con in the rooms. Unfortunately this spoiled our stay because none of us had a great nights sleep over the 3 nights we stayed. Thus putting the Premier Inn tag line into disrepute!

Lovely stay in Polegate Premier Inn, really spacious, modern, clean room with a lovely walk in shower, however we were in the new added building that has air conditioning, unlike the older section which doesn't. The only downside was the tiny breakfast/dining area that is accessed through the original building and can't really cope with the amount of guests, it was also very cramped and hot although staff were friendly and accommodating. Weirdly both sections don't have a lift, understandable in the original older part but strange that the new building also just had stairs. Big McDonald's opposite, as well as a small Asda.

Not a great stay Daughter found somebody else's clothes in her bed so room hadn't been cleared properly. Constant banging from 6am Asked for an iron and ironing board a few times but never turn up

We have just spent 5 days at the Polegate Premier Inn ( Eastbourne ) and had a fantastic time. This is a great base for exploring the local area by car or Train . The train station is only 5 minutes away by car and allows easy access to Brighton and Eastbourne at a very reasonable price . Our room at the Premier inn was excellent. We were in the new Building where all rooms are air conditioned . This was a real bonus during this current heatwave. Our room was modern and had the comfiest bed ever. We paid for the breakfast which was a great experience. The head waitress was called Tammy and she was extremely efficient and friendly . She is definetly an asset to the Premier Inn brand. The cooked breakfast was of a very high standard when prepared by Anna the chef. Tammy and Anna make an amazing team. Thankyou both for your hospitality . This premier inn is next to an Asda and a Mcdonalds which is very handy. The hotel does not have a formal bar area but you can get access to drinks from the bottle bar if this matters to you. I would highly rate this premier Inn as it is very comfortable and well located if you have a car .
