Hull City Centre hotel

We have stayed here many times but this stay was exceptional and memorable for many reasons. After a lovely check in when our granddaughter ( 2) was presented with her own card with her name on it ( she was delighted) by Grant ( more of him later) , we had a great meal but while relaxing in bar a hot water/steam pipe burst! Chaos ! Except Grant and his team jumped into action , at some personal risk , trying simultaneously to stem the leak and mop the deluge . We were sent to bed b4 the lifts stopped working, no water in room . Fearing evacuation we didn’t sleep great, but awoke to a miraculous scene downstairs ( the last we saw it was ankle deep in water)….. Everything was dry ( apart from carpet) breakfast was being served and the staff were chirpy , but tired obviously, we had hot water in our room . The work they must have put in makes the mind boggle . Grant ( manager) was even there to greet us at breakfast and also comp one of our breakfasts ! For our inconvenience! Not all heroes wear capes ! As for the rest ….. all perfect . We had 2 spacious rooms overlooking the smaller river, old town and swing bridge , and all of Hull tbh . Breakfast was excellent with cheery and helpful staff. We had a great family dinner on Saturday evening ( utilising the great value meal deal ). Definitely nothing not to like ( to say the least) Cheers Grant and team .

We had a great stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary and would highly recommend the location and the staff. The evening manager Grant made our stay feel very special and was much appreciated.

Room was exactly as expected for the price we paid. Location is perfect for visits to the museums etc. I’d like to give a special shout-out to Grant for his amazing service. He saw that we were struggling with our 3 year old and went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable and cared for. He is an asset to your branch!

My wife and I stayed for one night at this pleasant Premier Inn. We were on the top floor, which offered an excellent view. A helpful tip: when entering the elevator, be sure to use your key card; otherwise, you won't reach your floor.

Great location and within walking distance of some great places in Hull - we went for The Deep and the Museum Quarter so ideal. Staff are lovely and rooms as expected. Food was a real disappointment. We didn't have anything exotic , a standard couple of burgers and a sirloin but, over cooked, dry meat and chips were cold. For the meals starting upwards of £15, I didn't think it was great. If you are travelling with just adults, there are some wonderful places within walking distance so bear that in mind.
