Goole hotel

I stayed here in back 2023 and it was very good. How things have changed the outside of the hotel looks rundown. My Bedroom was on the ground floor, the room smelt very musty,the carpet was very worn and looked and felt grubby. The decor was tired. The temperature controller seemed to be stuck on 19c. Breakfast was a limited choice. I have stayed in a number of Premier Inns over the years and this is the first time I have been disappointed they are usually a good standard. On the plus side all the staff I met were helpful.

My wife and I have been using premier inn for many years. They changed the beds in the disabled access room which is now far too low and my wife can’t get out of it without help. The breakfast in the restaurant was a disaster, 1st morning no fresh fruit salad. The porridge was very thick. 2nd morning ran out of milk and on third morning no marmalade jam. Thank goodness we were just having a continental breakfast, other people who were having a fry it was either no sausages or eggs. The motto is eat all you can breakfast it should be just eat what we have. Needs to be big changes before we go back. Feel sorry for the staff, no wonder they don’t stay long.

Unfortunately, our stay at Premier Inn Goole was disappointing and not up to the usual standards we expect from Premier Inn. The hotel was clearly understaffed, which affected the overall guest experience. Although I appreciate that the staff were doing their best under difficult circumstances, there simply weren't enough of them to provide the level of service guests should expect. Breakfast was particularly disappointing. Several items were unavailable, meaning we couldn't enjoy the full breakfast we had paid for. I would expect all advertised breakfast options to be available, particularly during breakfast service. Overall, the hotel needs better staffing levels and improved breakfast organisation to ensure guests receive the service and value for money they expect. Sadly, this wasn't the experience we had hoped for, and there is definitely room for improvement.

Been here several times before and it’s been good. However can’t say the same about this time unfortunately. Restaurant is now run by Premier and the food in the evening isn’t the best and you seem to wait ages for it. Also not entirely sure what the coleslaw was, very odd taste and consistency. Breakfast was ok though to be fair however no orange juice as no one has refilled it. As for the room, the bedside light wasn’t working and when I went to check if it had a bulb the whole light was that loose it just literally fell and hung downwards. No wonder it didn’t work, the cleaners should have reported this and got it fixed surely. The toilet seat was half hanging off to one side and the bathroom fan didn’t turn off even though the light was off so that kept me awake all night. Don’t even get me started on the barely luke warm water when I wanted a bath. I had to opt for a cold shower. The tap unit itself was red hot yet the water wasn’t.

Great location, Michelle was lovely and took an interest why we were staying whilst booking us in and recommended the premier plus rooms if future trips booked as they have better facilities including a fridge, none the less, our standard room was perfect for us. Breakfast lovely, the hot breakfasts are served rather than being buffet which we did not mind, pefect portion!
