Goole hotel

Booked a premier plus room. It was comfortable and clean. Having a coffee machine in the room is great bonus. Breakfast was really good.

We wanted somewhere not too far from York as my son and I were visiting the university. We booked because it seemed amazing value for money . After reading some of the reviews I must admit I was worried . I didn’t need to be though. We were in room 217 we had a double and a sofa bed The room was spotlessly clean much cleaner than the recent London premier inn we stayed in I may add. There was a shower and a bath which you don’t really get any more. The room was massive by premier inn standards and the window was open when we arrived so felt well ventilated. Yes there is no air con but the room did come with a fan although we didn’t need it . On check in a very friendly receptionist actually asked us if we would like to have a table for tea so we booked one . Most premier inns don’t ask this so we have been in a position in the past where we have wished we had booked one but Havant so assumed there would be no space . She also asked us what time we thought we would like breakfast . The food in the restaurant is good for value . If you want 5 star Michelin food this is not for you but if you are smart about what you order eg. Stick to things that need to be cooked fresh you won’t go wrong . Breakfast was different to standard premier inns as you have to order the cooked items but trust me you can still order as much as you want if the individual items and tbh the food was fresher and hotter than other premier inns I’ve stayed in. The location is good for traveling it’s close to the M62 there is a fuel station a MacDonalds and a KFC in the same sight and that bit to mention the Brewers Fayre restaurant connected to it which atm is included in the Bkue light card for discount. Would I stay here again. Yes absolutely.

Location is good if you just need somewhere quick and easy to stop off. Had a Brewers Fayre which we didn't use but we did use the services across the road. Actual hotel on the outside is very run down. I stayed with my husband and two older children and we had enough space. What I would say is that there was no air conditioning switched on which during a heatwave should've been a no brainer. It was 30 degrees in our room and no one slept, I asked for another fan which was provided but it didn't help. I complained and was told that only 'Premier Plus' rooms had air conditioned and I should've booked one of those, except them rooms are only catered for 2 adults. There is no option for a family room 'Premier Plus' room. Wouldn't stay here again.

Great place to stay, and well situated adjacent to a main road network. Nice welcome and on entering the room/bathroom found it was spotlessly clean and spacious. Was also surprised to see a pedestal fan in the room, with the warm nights we’re experiencing was a bonus. Breakfast was excellent with a large selection. Orders were taken for the hot food and brought to you rather than self serving which is a nice touch. Overall very good value for money. Well done.

I’ve stayed here a few times and at first was always very pleasant but recently their standards have dropped so I can’t in good faith recommend. Our room, though sufficient, smelled of cigarette smoke and was not cleaned properly as evidenced by a discarded paper receipt on floor and unclean toilet. Perhaps the worse aspect was that the restaurant seems to permanently have problems that have not been resolved for months. This time the restaurant was closed for breakfast but for past visits there has always been some problem or other with the restaurant. I know this is a budget hotel but we paid £100 for a night and I can’t honestly say this was good value for money. Sadly for future visits to the area I think I will be giving this hotel a miss.
