"Avoid dirty and no air con"
⭐ 1 star — extremely disappointing stay
We booked this hotel expecting a comfortable weekend away, but unfortunately the experience was far from what we expected.
❌ Air conditioning — completely unacceptable
The air conditioning wasn’t working at all. We complained and were told it would be reset, but there was absolutely no improvement.
As we had a newborn baby with us, we had no choice but to change rooms at around 12:30am. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the second room was no better.
The air conditioning should absolutely be working, particularly when the windows are sealed shut and there is no way of getting fresh air into the room. Having a bath also heats the room up considerably.
We even asked for a fan on our second night, but despite this, our baby’s room thermometer was still reading 26°C.
We were then told, and I quote, that the air conditioning had been “crap for ages”. We were also told that there had been more focus on getting the new build across the road completed.
If the hotel has apparently known about the air conditioning problem for some time, why are guests still being allocated rooms where it isn’t working properly?
❌ Cleanliness and condition
The bathrooms in both rooms were clearly only given a very basic clean. There was limescale visibly covering areas of the bathroom, and the carpet was stained.
Overall, the rooms were looking tired and in need of better cleaning and maintenance. This really isn’t what you expect when paying to stay in a hotel.
❌ No baby changing facilities
There were no baby changing tables in the restaurant.
Considering there is a disabled toilet and two unisex toilets, you would think that somewhere suitable to change a baby would be provided.
We had a newborn with us, and having nowhere appropriate to change her while using the restaurant was extremely inconvenient. This is something you would expect a hotel to have thought about.
❌ Breakfast
Breakfast on the second morning was another disappointment.
We were crammed onto a small table with a pushchair, despite there being a perfectly suitable booth available.
Shortly afterwards, the woman serving greeted what was very obviously a group of friends and showed them straight to the booth.
It certainly gave the impression that the booth had been reserved for them, while paying guests were left squeezed around a small table with a pushchair.
❌ Extremely unprofessional staff behaviour
Shortly before leaving, we were in reception and witnessed at least six members of staff standing around discussing how bad the breakfast staff were and how they didn’t know what they were doing.
Then, when checking out, we saw two members of staff in uniform vaping and openly discussing the meeting mentioned above.
One of them was visibly crying and complaining about how she was being treated.
Whatever the circumstances behind the staff disagreement, guests should not be exposed to internal meetings, arguments or complaints about colleagues. It came across as extremely unprofessional and made the hotel feel very poorly managed.
Overall
We tried to make the best of our weekend away, but unfortunately the hotel itself made it far more stressful than it needed to be.
Having a newborn baby in a room reaching 26°C, with sealed windows, broken air conditioning and only a fan provided after we complained, was particularly disappointing.
Add to that the stained carpet, limescale, lack of baby changing facilities, poor breakfast experience and the very unprofessional behaviour we witnessed from staff, and unfortunately there were far too many issues to overlook.
We certainly wouldn’t stay here again, and based on our experience, I would think very carefully before booking this hotel.

I don't think the carpet in the room has ever seen a hoover, we had to find a cleaner to come and hoover. The table and bedside tables were also very dusty. The chair in the room had a big rip down the middle. The hallway and stairs were also absolutely disgusting! The bathroom smelt of mould/mildew. The receptionists on check in and check out were both more interested in having a conversation with other guests. On check in we asked if our room was ready, the receptionist then said I'll check but let me eat my Haribo first! It wasn't worth £10 let alone £110 that we paid. Stayed in multiple Premier Inn before and this is by far the worst!

"Staff attitude"
The hotel is lovely as it quite new the staff are a little bit under managed and pretty much have a lazy attitude the one lady that was very welcoming and seemed to be the only one with manners and seemed to be the only one that was worried about the running of the hotel / restaurant her name is shell I believe perhaps short for Shelly or Michelle she had a Scottish accent she is the only one that saved me from putting a bad review real bad review

"Tired"
Arrived and parked easily in the car park to be allocated a prepaid family room by a lovely receptionist.
The room was TINY. Each bed was touching. The non opening window had mould and the paint in the sill was flaking quite badly. There were gouges in the walls and heavy marks. Pretty grotty really considering the price (over £100).
I asked if we could possibly change rooms as they were quiet and the receptionist was very helpful and apologetic over the state of the family rooms. It seems they have upgraded the doubles but not the family ones unfortunately.
We were offered another larger room which was much better but there was no air conditioning. As the window didn't open we were pretty warm so didn't sleep great. Given there were very little options available and it was better than the first I didn't ask to change again.
The new restaurant was beautifully clean and welcoming. We prebooked breakfast which was worth the cost. There was a single person serving who was absolutely rushed off her feet. This person was a real credit to the business though I didn't catch her name. We had bits left off our order but this lady managed to get them to us really quickly without any fuss at all. She handled my disabled lad well too.
My kids loved it albeit the heat at night, I personally found the room tired and overpriced. The communal areas needed a hoover.
The restaurant is a definite positive as are the staff who possibly should be better looked after by the business.
It would be great to see some higher quality, cleaner family rooms available. I'll try the other Premier Inn in Weymouth for comparison.

"A Relaxing Stay"
The hotel is located 10 minutes from the seafront of Weymouth. The car park is free as long as you put your registration into a tablet. There is a large Sainsburys supermarket opposite and a McDonalds a few minutes walk away along with other shops on a small retail park. There is a regular bus service from outside the hotel that operates every 10 minutes into town and back until early evening when it goes to every 20 minutes and later every 30 minutes until midnight.
We stayed in the annex building that also houses a bar and restaurant. Although until out last night this was closed for refurbishment and was having a few teething problems when it opened. The room was a good size with a standard Premier Inn bed. The ensuite had a shower cubicle; a real plus point for me as I struggle to get in and out of baths that have showers fitted to them. There's 2 levels of lighting. Full bright lights and a subtle pink light for use when you need to use the toilet in the night. The TV is a good size with all the usual Freeview channels.
We had a very pleasant 3 day stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on our next visit.
There is no daily housekeeping and so needed to go to reception to collect extra tea and coffees for our morning drinks and for fresh towels.
