Poole North hotel

Not up to the usual Premier Inn consistent service. The following may be helpful if you are planning a visit. 1. Parking is good, free and just outside. 2. No complaint about breakfast – usual Premier Inn standard. 3. Rooms have been redesigned. There are now no coat hooks in rooms, wet coats need to be hung with dry clothes on a rail. There is now no chaise-longe just a single armchair and desk chair. There are now no drawers, so all possessions are on display on shelves. 4. Evening meals are erratic. For example, prawns, salmon, lettuce, and flatbread were all unavailable one evening which resulted in many dishes being ‘off’. 5. Even with advance notice the hotel can only serve a table of more than 6 if guests agree that their meals will all arrive at different times. 6. If, as is the case, food on a Sunday night is not always available, this should be clearly stated when the room is booked. Arriving in a new location on a Sunday night, to a booked room and finding no food is just not acceptable Premier Inn. 7. Service is very variable, from charming, helpful and well-trained to down right rude. 8. Bar prices are very incomprehensible. £3.55 for sparkling water – really? Yet ‘meal deal beverage’ is reasonably priced.

Premier inn easy to find but basically within an industrial estate. Staying at the weekend so area was quiet. Check-in was easy as I had completed details in advance. Bedroom was standard Prem Inn, not sparkling new nor excessively tired. Everything worked. Nowhere nearby to eat in the evening so we booked evening meal on site. Having had drinks we asked if we could sit down early but the answer was a clear no. When seated, the waitress came to take our order, she listed what was not available - this included 2 of the main meals selected by our group of 6 people. It would have been better if we had been told this when handed the menu. After waiting 30-45 minutes we asked where are starters where, they appeared shortly after that. Then we asked where are mains where - 10 minutes predicted but this was more like 15 mins. We had to ask for the humus that was missing from one dish, of the 6 dishes 3 were OK, the others appeared to have been sat for a long time being kept warm. We didn’t want to extend the experience by ordering desserts. On leaving one of the staff told us that over 50% of the grills in the kitchen weren’t working. Although this may be a one-off we wouldn’t risk it by eating here again. Breakfast was all good as per usual Prem Inn standards. Staff work incredibly hard and are generally helpful.

Blamed our kids for jumping around and disturbing the people below us, but they were fast asleep in bed so clearly want them. After reading reviews, a lot of people have experienced creaky floors so Didnt appreciate being blamed when they knew fully well it wasn’t us!

Nice hotel, bedroom was nice, bathroom needed a bit of a refresh but not bad overall. Food was good in the evening, service was a bit slow, sat for 2hrs for a 2 course meal to be served. Staff seemed friendly. Breakfast was ok normal stuff, very regimented staff member seating people in the morning, told a few people off for chatting to i am guessing work colleagues before giving a room number/name. Car park bit of a nightmare, not alot of parking for the size of the hotel, ended up leaving my car on the side of the road for the night unfortunatley. So get there early if you want to park and dont leave the car park once parked.

Excellent experience staff were very attentive and informative, couldn’t do enough for you - would highly recommend this hotel. Rooms are vey comfortable, and spacious will all amenities you need.
