"Good location, clean and comfortable. Perfect for the weary traveller!"
Great location. Managed to get hotel car parking too and free upgrade to Premier room which was a nice touch. Good base for exploring the town and close to bars and restaurants in the brewery quarter.
"Right in the busy leisure area"
Excellent location, parking is free in the underground car park. The parking spaces are tight and sometimes it is difficult to find a space. The rooms are spacious with good beds. The restaurant is usually fare.
"Over worked staff!"
Stayed with my husband and son for one night while visiting Weymouth. The hotel was lovely and clean and the rooms were a really good size! The staff were incredible friendly, however, they were massively overworked! The bar did not open until 6pm and they only sold bottled drinks. There were three staff members on duty, one of which was the chef! Two staff members were having to check people in, work the bar, take orders and serve dinners! The poor chef was run off his feet! We ordered food about 7pm and finally received it at about 8:10pm. The staff were so apologetic and it really wasn’t their fault. The chef even had to bring my pudding out to me as the other staff were busy! Management need to take note as it is not possible to run a whole hotel on three staff! They were getting some stick from a few of the other guests due to the time it was taking to serve and get food out, but the staff did not stop for even one second! Good and breakfast was lovely and the breakfast buffet was well stocked. Some nice bars and restaurants around the hotel and the train station is just over the road. Overall it was a pleasant stay, but we felt extremely sorry for the staff!
"Very Good"
Clean and good breakfast. Staff helpful, especially Matthew. Walking distance of all of Dorchester, including both stations.
"Horrible place, the manager on an evening is disgusting. Last time i stay here. Id rather stay in a hostel and take my chances "
Poor staff, receptionist was lovely the bar and restaurant staff/ manager needs sacking, horrible man with the professionalism of a dead slug, this happened last year too, the last time i stay here
