"Premier Inn Ferndown"

Used this hotel as it was close to my family who I was visiting. Horrified that I was asked if I was alone and then had my room number called out in reception in front of other guests - perhaps a bit of more understanding for single female travellers is needed by staff Was quite surprised by walking into a very cold room mid November and finding windows wide open on a ground floor room Room was large, bed was comfy but the bathroom walls and ceiling were mouldy Breakfast was required to have been pre booked All in all I paid a lot

"Big mistake!"

We spent a couple of nights at this Premier Inn. It is on a main road but set back from the traffic noise. The thing about Premier Inns is you generally know what you are getting. On this occasion though we were caught out by the bed. We have been big fans of their Hypnos beds since they first introduced them. However after both of us waking with bad backs I checked the mattresses to find they are now using Silentnight make. Furthermore unless we are much mistaken the beds are now 5ft which is smaller than their previous ones. We can only assume that Silentnight are supplying Premier Inn with a better financial deal than that they had with Hypnos. A big mistake! Apart from this departure from what was a tried and tested element of their self promoted ‘Good Nights Sleep’, the heater in the room was not working, the rooms look as if they are more than ready for redecoration as they are somewhat tired and it drives me slightly mad that even though PI know from the booking how many occupants there will be in a room they still persist in only supplying towels for one meaning the inevitable trek back to reception to obtain more! I guess we could have claimed a refund under their Guarantee but decided to vote with our feet and avoid staying at Premier Inn now their beds are so uncomfortable.
