Bournemouth Westbourne hotel

From the first day, there were problems. The staff were rude and not helpful at all, especially the male staff, with the exception of the youngest employee, who was very kind and helpful. All of the female staff were also friendly and helpful. Our first room was disgusting. The bathroom smelled strongly of urine, as if it had been sprayed everywhere. We were told that changing rooms was not possible. However, the following morning, a female member of staff changed our room without any issue, which makes the previous refusal difficult to understand. The parking was another disappointment. It cost £10.50, and after leaving the car park, it was almost impossible to find another parking space if you returned later. This was my first stay at this Premier Inn, and it will definitely be my last. I have stayed in many Premier Inn hotels before, but this is by far the worst. I would avoid this hotel!

Arrive. Facade looks good. Parking ok but then realise it’s £10.50 a night for disabled parking Bit steep but then it’s private firm running it. Hotel interior restaurant is a bit tired and the tables are sticky. Rooms standard but again tired. Air con excellent, beds as always comfortable. World Cup was on the tv so we thought an evening in the bar was a good plan….. clearly not. We went out for dinner, arrived back at 9.45. Bars closed. Reception. Can we get a drink? No the bars closed? Hotel bar shut b4 10? Ridiculous! Lots of people coming in sorry we are closed. 22 golfers thinking be nice to have a drink and watch the game. Corridor lights not working people using mobiles to get from the lift to their rooms. Tell the hotel at midday if you want your room serviced? Who the hell is about at that time on holiday? Several issues, tried to call the hotel multiple times prior and multiple times since. No answer. PICK UP THE PHONE YOU ARE A HOTEL!!!! So in brief. Good beds, air con. Poor condition poor customer service. NO BAR @ 10pm is a joke!

One of the three worst Premier Inns I've ever stayed in over the years. In need of a refurbishment. Cramped room, was supposed to be a double but two people with suitcases would really struggle! "Desk" was a ledge against a wall, and being an apparent "giant" at 5 feet 11 tall I couldn't sit at it as the bed was in the way of the chair. Staff pretty feckless generally, breakfast a shambles (had to go in search of a clean plate, dirty crockery left piled up and ignored), grubby carpets in corridors, windows that wouldn't open, really loud grating air conditioning that had to be switched off to sleep (so then I boiled in the heat), shady character hanging around in the corridor, stacks of dirty plates in the corridor outside rooms, lack of advice or clarity around parking arrangements (and £10.50 per night!)... never again!!

Enjoyed a nice stay at this Premier Inn, rooms are air conditioned great for recent hot weather. Walk to beach / town in about 25 minutes or jump onto bus for 10 minutes. The best part of my stay was the excellent service from Laurent at breakfast and Manni at dinner. Breakfast was great and dinner was fantastic with a good choice of options. Service at dinner was excellent especially with Manni washing the knives, forks,spoons etc before we use them to cater for a member of our family who had an allergy. 😊

We slept well but in the morning, my wife took a shower, when she came out of the bathroom she mentioned that the floor was wet. When I got into the steel enamel bath and turned on the shower, I could see that the metal shower pipe had a split in it and was spraying onto the electric light and running onto the floor. We told the reception about the incident and we were moved to a different room. The next morning when we went into the bathroom, we could hear the shower from the room next door and our floor was flooded. We reported this other incident to reception and they waived the car park fee. We would stay at a Premier Inn again but not Bournemouth Westbourne.
