Bournemouth Westbourne hotel

Despite being a fully paid up guest, I was not allowed to eat in the restaurant. How inhospitable is that?! Staff cuts are stretching fewer staff to cover more tasks across the hotel, and it's not worth it. The response that I could not eat in the restaurant will forever taint my views of this (in-)hospitality chain.

I stayed for 3 nights during the weak of 30+ C temperatures. The room is fine if not a little dated. The individual air condition unit worked very well as was not linked to a room key in a reader so could be left on low when out of the room. Bathroom and shower worked well and was quite spacious. The usual premier inn breakfast offering, the hot buffet was filled in a timely manner and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It tasted good I didn’t eat in the evening at the premier inn as so many good reasonably priced restaurants in Bournemouth and Westbourne. Just 10 minutes walk to the nice “big village “ of Westbourne, under 10 minutes walk to Bournemouth town centre and around 15 minutes walk to the beach. It is not the newest premier inn but functions well as is e.g. cheaper than the westcliffe premier inn. I will return.

Nice location, comfortable bed, nice powerful shower. Will come back again. Only downside is the parking - you have to pay every time you leave site. Would be better if there was just a fixed rate per night. Not the hotels fault though so still a 5 Star from me.

I have stayed here on 5 or 6 occasions since 2019 and the building is beginning to look uncared for. In my latest stay the sink in my room was cracked and the bathroom floor was squishy as if the wood underneath the lino had rotted away. The covering on the banquet seats in the dinning room is cracked, so scratchy and uncomfortable to sit on. The staff are lovely though.

This hotel needs serious cleaning and modernisation. Leaking air conditioning Leaking toilets Parking is not free Dust everywhere in every corner of the hotel very bad state.
