Bournemouth Westbourne hotel

We booked an accessible room but it was on the third floor, lifts availble but always full of able bodied people too lazy to use stairs. Yes not all disabilities are visible but i am pretty sure a family of 4 or 5 all walking into a lift past someone struggling to walk, are not all disabled. So we had extended waits to get up to our room. Maybe a sign on the lift door saying are you able to take the stairs? Bathroom door to accessible bathroom was a sliding door dragging on the carpet and you needed to be built like he man master of the universe to open it. Room clean and bed comfortable. No electric sockets at the bedside but 5 across the other side of the room. The cord on my daughters medical equipment did not reach to the bedside so we had to purchase an extension. So something to consider maybe?

Very poor hygiene . Whole night there is water is running sounds through wall pipes and AC. Hair on kettle, lack of maintenance in room. Very limited options for breakfast in this range

We booked the hotel as we had a family member admitted as an emergency to the Royal Bournemouth hospital. On reception Luan Lovyth went out of his way to welcome, help and assure we were settled in the hotel. We could not have asked for more. The room was very clean and comfortable. Thank you to him for helping us.

The check in process was slow, the rooms were tired, the aircon unit was noisy, the breakfast was poor & the parking is a rip off. The bed was good though & it would’ve been a whole lot better to sleep in, without a noisy air con unit.

stay was lovely, staff very friendly, rooms nice and clean really recommend
