"Very Disappointing Stay. Poor Service, Unfair Treatment."
I stayed at the Bournemouth East Cliff Premier Inn with my family and friends (party of 19) from 10–14 August 2025, and unfortunately the experience fell far below expectations. On our first evening, we had booked a table for 19 at check-in and were assured this would be no problem. However, when we arrived at 7pm, our drinks and food order was taken but not processed until nearly an hour later. Drinks eventually arrived after repeated chasing, but food took almost two hours. Only three meals were served, and the quality was very poor chips were greasy and clearly refried. We politely refused the rest, as it was unacceptable to leave children hungry so late in the evening. Staff apologised and offered biscuits to the children, and we were assured a refund would be arranged. The following morning, while queuing for breakfast, we were shocked to be told our breakfast booking had been cancelled and that we were banned from dining in the restaurant for the remainder of our stay. This was the first we’d heard of such a decision. The lack of notice caused huge difficulty one member of our party has mobility issues and two children are neurodiverse, so arranging alternatives at short notice was stressful and upsetting. What made matters worse was the response after raising this with Premier Inn Guest Relations. While staff on the night admitted fault and were apologetic, the company later insisted the decision was “appropriate” and refused to offer any further compensation or explanation. We have always trusted Premier Inn for reliable, family-friendly stays, but this experience was very disappointing. Not only were we let down by poor service and food standards, but also by the way the situation was handled afterwards. For families, especially those with additional needs, I cannot recommend this hotel.
    "Reception never manned!"
Lovely hotel with friendly staff BUT a nightmare getting in and out of the car park as the reception is never manned. Stayed for the weekend and had to chase the staff many times. We won’t be coming back here due to this only! If not coming by car it’s great! NEED more staff!
    "Would not recommend!!"
Very disappointed in this Premier Inn , poor standards , awful food, not very friendly staff , dirty rooms , would not return
    "Wheelchair accessible hotel"
My hubby is wheelchair bound and we found our room no 602 exceptional perfect for my hubby The food was always very good and the staff always keen to help Ashley and Mustafah were especially lovely and helpful the location was a bit too far out for us as Bournemouth generally hilly thank goodness for a reliable taxi service pushing a wheelchair was very very hard work
    "Hotel good, parking fiasco"
Hotel usual good standard. Parking a fiasco. Separate car park short distance away from hotel. On foot entrance to car park, no one in reception to buzz the door open, I had to walk back to the hotel and walk around until I found a member of staff. Had to wait a far while for the car park entry gate to be raised to get the car in, no one in reception to buzz open the gate. Queue on exit to car park. The car park is £10 per night, however one night the car park was full, so I had to park in another car park and pay again. After all this I wanted a beer or two at the hotel bar, but no one available to serve me at all.
