Stayed here a few time now, staff usually friendly and Iris who was out sever in the evenings was friendly and professional.

The food and the service is very poor. We were served half cooked food , very dry and the kids were starving since it took them 1.5 hours to serve the meal.
I would not recommend food in the restaurant.

Bit of a disappointment for a Premier Inn. Check was ok, self service machine so couldn’t add on the meal deal like I usually would at check in. Was then directed to do this at dinner.
Room was ok, bed was clean and comfortable. Bathroom smelt very musty. Hairdryer didn’t work, reported on first morning. Generally a quiet room although the fan was very noisy and the temp is centrally controlled by reception.
Dinner in the restaurant was ok. Service was quite slow as only 1 staff member working. Food was just about warm when it arrived and the steak was quite oily. Breakfast wasn’t as good, lukewarm warm food, overcooked bacon.
Second evening dinner again was lukewarm, chips overcooked and bacon on the smothered chicken was overdone. At breakfast there was a few males who were very keen to tell me they were homeless and were having a big breakfast after smoking a joint. They didn’t leave me alone and told me they were not the only homeless people in the hotel. As a solo female I didn’t feel the safest around the hotel and outside. Wouldn’t stay here again on my own for this reason.

What’s an amazing experience at a Premier inn. This is very much thanks to Josh, he welcomed us, sorted our check in, drinks, food. Given the large party we were we thought we would struggle with good customer service, we were wrong. Iris and Josh are an absolute credit to premier inn! Cannot fault our stay at all! It was like a personal family experience from a large chain. Not often seen nowadays. Well done Premier Inn for recruiting these two people. Local and helpful knowledge, genuinely wanting to give guests a fab experience
