"Excellent customer service, local knowledge, a credit to your brand!"
What’s an amazing experience at a Premier inn. This is very much thanks to Josh, he welcomed us, sorted our check in, drinks, food. Given the large party we were we thought we would struggle with good customer service, we were wrong. Iris and Josh are an absolute credit to premier inn! Cannot fault our stay at all! It was like a personal family experience from a large chain. Not often seen nowadays. Well done Premier Inn for recruiting these two people. Local and helpful knowledge, genuinely wanting to give guests a fab experience

"Clean room and easy check in"
It was my first time staying with Premier Inn and it won't be last. Check in was fast and easy, receptionist explained me how to pay for car park and booked me a table in the restaurant. The room was spacious, clean and the pillows were so comfy!

"Premier Inn is now more like Below Average Inn"
Premier inn standards have dropped, the general hotel is barely acceptable and my individual experience was dire.
One of the reasons we booked PI was because they have 24 hour check in, useful when you're doing the 6 hour motorway drive after work. They advertised having twin rooms which was good as I was travelling with my adult son as he had an interview the following day - there were closer PI to the interview but they were open about not having twin rooms.
We arrived shortly before midnight and discovered the sat nav wasn't too clear about how to access the car park. Once found (it's underground) it worked well, secure, mainly empty, plenty of space. You exit up the stairs then walk across a pedestrianised area.
The member of staff on front desk helped me with automated check in, provided room cards and my son spotted the car parking machine. Less than clear how to use but we paid for the night.
The room, on the 6th floor, was dreadful. We opened the door to an overpowering smell of cigarette smoke residue. We are not, and have never been smokers, so neither of us found this tolerable. Also it was a double. I went downstairs and explained the problem.
I was told first to open the window onto the dual carriage way. This would not have helped as the smell would be upon us and all other items. They offered to spray the room which wasn't acceptable as I have asthma and masking chemicals would not have helped. I asked for a new room. They said they were full, but I think more likely unused rooms are not made up. The front desk told me they did not have any twin rooms.
Finally they identified a room which had a spare bed and did not smell of cigarettes. However the spare bed was unmade. I needed two more visits to reception to secure additional bedding (now past 1 a.m ) and then had to help the staff member make the bed as he was clearly unused to the task. I do however commend the staff remaining pleasant and trying to find solutions.
Other than that the room was tired with scuff marks etc. especially in the bathroom. The WiFi I'd paid for couldn't be accessed until the morning (the access code was sent overnight by email). The tea /coffee was basic - no decaf. The bed was too firm for my back. The breakfast lacklustre.
So all in all, the hotel was not very good, but the staff were pleasant and helpful.

"Excellent business stay"
I stay away a lot and don’t usually bother with reviews but…this stay was a stand out for a few reasons. The main stand out was that the food in the restaurant is very good and amazingly good value. I’ve eaten a lot worse for a lot . more ££££. Service was friendly. Josh has everything under control and seemed to work 24 hours a day. The experience was what you would expect from a much pricier hotel. Even had a bath. I paid for the dinner breakfast meal which again is very good value. It’s annoying to have to pay extra for parking and decent wifi but the overall deal is still very good. Recommended
