"One of my favourite Premier Inns!"
We stopped here for 1 night ahead of our holiday in Devon. Parking was easy to find and well sign posted. Premier Inn guests park at the back of the council carpark for a discounted rate. I was already aware the lift owned by the council was not working. Options were stairs or ramp down where we drove in. We opted for the stairs as suitcases were small for 1 night. Stair well wasn't pleasant so when we left we chose to walk around the ramp entrance. This also wasn't ideal with a child as no footpath and cars coming down the ramps. It felt quite far leaving so my husband went and got the car while we waited with the cases. Parking is not ideal but its not Premier Inns fault. Lift owned by council. It wouldn't put us off stopping here again. Atleast there's plenty of parking spaces! Hotel was very clean and modern. Room was spotlessly clean. We didn't have a seaview as we didn't pay for one but there are some available in this hotel. We were on the 1st floor which was great with a child and cases. The room was really quiet, heard no one and had a great nights sleep. Also great shower in this room and air conditioning worked brilliantly! Dinner on the evening was really nice! The chef clearly cares about his food, the presentation was beautiful. Best meal so far in a Premier inn. Breakfast was equally as nice and the atmosphere and decor in the restaurant felt really relaxing. Not to busy or cramped. Staff here were brilliant. All of them couldn't do enough making sure everyone was happy all with a smile. They are a credit to this hotel. Will definitely be back, best premier inn we've stopped at and we've been to a few!
"Weekend getaway"
Excellent location, just around the corner from the marina. The room we had was a premier plus room on the 5th floor which had a lovely view (see pic). The room was clean, a good size and with everything required. The downside was we arrived 25 mins early and would have to pay £15 early check in fee which I thought was ridiculous so we waited. The other thing was two lifts were out of order and the remaining one was malfunctioning.
"Platinum service"
Platinum service from front desk. Special compliments to Kirstie, Kira & Mandy for making our stay extra special as we celebrating my son's birthday. The ice cream was such a special treat & made my son's day. Your staff paid attention to detail & were very professional 👌🏽
"Central, great location"
Great location for everything, very central. Staff are lovely and helpful. Clean and the Premier Plus rooms are great.
"DEFINATELY NOT a good hotel for person with mobility issues"
Booked in here 29/7/25 - 06/08/25 left 05/08/25 . Hotel itself was very reasonable, tho reception /resteraunt was on first floor. Only one lift serviceable causing long delays at family mealtimes.Despite requesting room being serviced each day, this only happened on two occasions, and only room, bathroom ignored.Door on room 305 failed to close properly. When reported to male person on reception I was told "there's no maintainance on til tomorrow" obviously not interested in my room security. Pedestrian access from the Harbour area is via a gradual but steep gradient, until you turn into The Terrace where it becomes VERY steep to the Hotel entrance.Car parking is at the FURTHEST point of a council ownwed car park at the rear, app 1/4 mile away ,again pedestrian access via road to side of hotel I would estimate the gradient to be in the region of 1 in 6. VERY VERY STEEP. Again no lift available, and stair way was probably 60 or more steps up a dirty stairway often frequented by intimidating youths. Both my wife and I have mobility issues and found it difficult to reach our car, without suffering breathlessness and discomfort and ended up remaining in the hotel for much of the time, resulting in us leaving a day early, thereby losing the cost one nights paid accommodation .I have for some years enjoyed stays at Premier Inns, but will NEVER return to this hotel, and would suggest that information be published pointing out the issues relating to persons with mobility issues.
