"Another poor experience"
It takes quite a lot for me to leave a negative review but after several disappointing experiences I feel compelled to do so. I regularly use Premier Inn for both business and family trips and generally find them to be very good with well meaning staff. By contrast my experience in Seaton is consistently poor. It always seems to be understaffed which is presumably why they seem consistently hassled and stressed. Several times we have felt like an inconvenience and been reluctant to ask for help or given brusk responses. I do feel sympathy for the staff but they need some decent management and training in hospitality and working under any sort of pressure. The dining area simply isn’t big enough particularly on holidays and weekends leading to queues and half of the breakfast items being unavailable at any given time. The rooms often seem to have a strange odour and this time half the light bulbs were out and a curtain was ripped. The building seems to have aged incredibly quickly and feels in need in need of some tlc. We have raised issues before but this time we simply couldn’t be bothered. On the positive side it is relatively cheap and convenient but would only recommend using it for a room - check yourself in on the terminal and definitely eat elsewhere!

"Good value for money sea view & aircon"
The room and bathroom was very clean and spacious, even with four of us staying. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Couple of things in the room needed updating, but nothing major. The room had great aircon, which we needed as the weather was hot this week & the whole floor was a good temperature including the corridor. We were on the second floor with sea view (well partial!) and the room was quiet.
Slight negative is paying to park, but we knew that when we booked.
We didn’t use the restaurant during our stay, so can’t comment on the food or service.

"Great location for a quiet beach stay"
We were down visiting a friend for a few days and mainly went to Seaton beach - the location of the hotel for this was fantastic, it's only a few minutes' walk to the stone beach. We were able to drive 15 minutes to get to other busier beach towns too (make sure you leave early if it's hot, we gave up on trying to park at Lyme Regis and just went back to Seaton).
We have stayed here twice now and it's a great value option. I was worried about getting breakfast this time due to the recent reviews but honestly the food was great (better than my last trip in Aug 2025) - the food wasn't cold and there were plenty of options. There was a slight issue on our first morning with having to wait for mugs and bowls but there was an extra staff member the second morning and we didn't have this issue so I would assume this was just due to being short staffed. I felt sorry for the staff, people were being so rude about it.
If you're thinking about eating in the hotel in the evening, make sure you book early, we left it to the last minute, and they only had a table in two hours (but this was fine for us and we just went to our room to chill for a bit).
For a value hotel the room was comfy and clean and had everything we needed (family trip, two adults, two pre-teens) - I think this is a great place to stay.

"Poor stay."
Good location, but poor Premier Inn. Good service from the receptionist on arrival, but down hill from that point.
Room could have been cleaner, was stuffy as no air in room whole stay. Bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable.
We stayed three nights and were unable to eat there in the evenings as only pre-booked evening meals available or restaurant completely closed due to staff shortages. As not many places to eat in the evening in Seaton we ended up buying sandwiches from Tesco.
Lots of food and drinks offer posters all over the walls in the Premier Inn, but NONE available! Disappointing stay. We will not be returning.

"Poor. Disinterested. Understaffed."
Staff disinterested. Had to wait absolutely ages to be seated in the restaurant on a meal deal. I stay in Premier Inns all the time for work trips and this is by far the worst I’ve stayed in for a very long while. They’re usually very reliable and you know what you’re going to get. The staff seemed more interested in flirting with other guests than providing a level of service that would be expected. Only 2 staff working for both the restaurant and check-in so I am not surprised with the low levels of engagement. Premier Inn, provide more staff
