"Pleasant and comfortable"
Premier Inn always good and always so easy. Nice pleasant stay with a premium room which is worth it if you are staying a few nights. Staff were attentive and very pleasant. Location is perfect with a short walk to the city centre and Sutton Harbour. Parking is limited but we managed to get a space both nights. It was clean and tidy in the rooms, spacious and comfortable. Good ore of Sutton Harbour too.
"Great visit."
Ideal location, just across the swing bridge from The Barbican. Easy parking in their large carpark and very welcoming reception. Rooms are spacios and spotlessly clean. Staff were very helpful. Restaurant and bar at very reasonable prices.
"Good location but hot rooms and small car park"
Stayed here for 1 night on a Friday - we had a harbourside room. Staff on desk were friendly and efficient and check in no problem Room was the std Premier Inn room - clean and no issues. Our room had what looked like an air con unit but was not - was in fact a heater as far as I could work out. The room was warm, much warmer than the outside temp and the temp in the corridor and stairwell. We decided to leave the window open overnight to try and let some cool air in the narrow gap. This was OK as it was quiet enough outside and inside the building after midnight. However, arround 06.30 a motorbike started up in the car park below us and woke us up with its loud exhaust. It then continued to run for about 10 mins for no apparent reason on a Saturday morning. Not the best start to the day. The car park is very undersized for the hotel - there are fewer spaces than rooms. The car park costs about £8 (I think) for 24 hrs, but if you leave to go to town you are not guarenteed a space on return. The situation is made much worse by narrow car parking spaces and poor parking by hotel customers with about 10% of the car parking spaces blocked by poor/slanting parking or wider vehicles over the line. We had to empty the car before going into the space otherwise we would not be able to get our things out. Overall, a decent hotel but parking issues and the hot room means we wont be coming back.
"A confusing break canceled"
We booked a three night stay in Plymouth by the Harbour and was really looking forward to the break, but a friend said would I be ok has it was a fair walk to the centre. On looking at Premier web site we found another hotel basically next door and this one looked newer so the wife phoned them up and booked the three night stay cancelling the previous booking. Email came through and to our horror it was the old hotel, wife rang again on speaking to a person about the problem even he didn’t know the difference between hotels, so cancelled again. What’s more simple than calling the hotels premier A and premier B So our yearly break ruined. We always use premier hotels but this time they failed.
"A happy break"
4.5 Welcoming Staff & cleaning Staff all been brilliant, room was exeptional, however could have done with a loo brush. Only criticism not much choice for Gluten free on menu. We were waiting for a parcel which still hadn’t arrived after checkout. The staff were extremely helpful and allowed us to stay on the premises. Even though we live in Malta, we would definitely stay here again.
