"Refusal of Suport / Therapy dogs Shame on The Premier Inn in 2025!!!"
Absolutely awful service. The manger stated that the company refuse to accept therapy dogs, they refuse emotional support dogs too. Approaching 9pm at night as a single mum with two disabled children and therapy dogs we were turned away. The manager (Ms ’S’) via the phone attempted to explain the Equality Act… as the ‘duty manger’ smiled in what I define as Glee (disdainfully) and staunchly refused us a room. Stating company policy eas clear - no therapy dogs. This is atrocious, outdated and a company that prides itself on welcoming you with a ‘smile’ in reality seemed somewhat self righteous despite my respectful conversation and seems to only welcome non disabled people with a smile. I’m appalled at this. It maybe company policy and they maybe acting within it - I appreciate their position but I don’t appreciate their dismissive self righteous manner. As for Premier Inn!! After maybe 45/50 stays over 5 years - you’ve lost my business for ever more. Conversely The Moxy in Plymouth couldn’t have been more welcoming, hospitable and extremely professional. Despite this the duty manager still wanted disability details! Digging deeper and personally in a way that breached the persons right to privacy. I offered osier work to show basics. Still refused - we ended up sat on a side street searching hotels! Utterly disgusting, outdated and rude.
      "mould"
We stayed for the weekend, check in lady was really nice, however the room was shocking, bits of chipped wood from the wardrobe, and my biggest concern in the mould in the room, not suitable if you have breathing problems. And the air con didn’t work so was given the worlds loudest fan. you’d think for somewhere down south during the summer they’d have the air con fixed, hardly slept due to the heat.
      "Ok but could be better."
Upon first impressions it is just the job, however once you start to use the room the inadequacies unfold. No air conditioning, a fan is supplied but it’s noisy and unpractical at night, no extractor in the bathroom, housekeeping only available upon request. The only positive for me was the subsidised car parking.
      "A good place to stay"
Very good bedrooms and facilities. the only wish is for a comfortable chair and brighter bedside reading lights. The staff were very helpful and replaced a faulty desk lamp promptly. They dried my canvas shoes when I got caught in a flash flood.
      "Great stay all round."
Probably the comfiest bed I've ever had in a hotel. Front desk staff were really welcoming and helpful. Car parking was easy. Breakfast really good and plenty of options. Room faced onto a main road but had the window open all night and slept right through, no noise. Great location for walkable access into town and bus services.
