Paignton South (Brixham Road) hotel

Receptionist greeted me like an old friend. All stsff I dealt with were courteous and helpful. Staff at adjoining restaurant were very friendly.

During our recent stay we came up against a few errors. On our 1st Saturday night their reception team member Jamie, accused us of not paying for our dinners and we had to find our receipt, when proceeding to breakfast the next morning, we were again told by a member of staff at the beefeater that we hadn’t paid and had to produce a receipt. On the 2nd night Sunday the same reception team member Jamie asked the children not to run in the corridors, my daughter replied sorry we’ve made new friends, to which he replied “ I don’t give a flying f**l”, which is totally unacceptable considering she is 11 years old. After returning from dinner the same evening having been in the beefeater from 730 till 930, the receptionist still Jamie then knocked on our door, 9:35 pm and said we had been making a lot of noise for the last hour and the room below had complained, we explained that we had only been in five minutes and then the girls were in the bath, to which we were called liars. I have emailed customer relations and as of 15/06/25 I’m still awaiting a response.

Our stay in the Premier Inn was excellent but I wouldn't bother having my evening meal in the Beefeater next door. The staff are excellent but the food itself is poor and the menu descriptions don't help. For example "crushed roast potatoes" are in fact small, soggy baked potatoes that seem to have been sat on by an overweight elephant. Dispel any ideas of anything crispy or crunchy.

You know what you are getting with Premier Inns. We have always had a good welcome from reception and they have always been veery helpful. Bedroom very comfortable and clean. Good nights sleep on wonderful bed. More storage room would be useful

I always choose Premier Inn for assurance of a very clean room with a comfortable bed. This hotel was right next to a supermarket & other shops so was very convenient. I also like the fact you don't get a knock on the door every day asking if you want the room cleaned!
