"Overnight stay"
Enjoyed an overnight stay at this hotel. The room was clean & had a comfortable bed. Both ladies we saw at check in & check out were friendly & helpful. We had a meal deal which was at the Beefeater next to the hotel. The breakfast was very good, but the evening meal wasn’t so great.

"Never Again"
This is the second time we’ve stayed here in the last 2 months. After staying in February and having the bathroom covered in mold, we thought we’d give it another shot how we wished we hadn’t. The staff were lovely and clearly had to deal with a lot. The rooms are in real need of renovation and fridge would be help for guests as many hotels have stardard. The breakfast at the beefeater was diabolical undercooked bacon, overcooked hash browns definitely not worth the money. Such a shame as it was once a great hotel being perfectly placed, but never again for us.

"Average for a cheap stay"
Noisy with the main road outside and the next rooms TV on the same wall as your own bed.
Bed was comfy but the pillows were like bricks.
Breakfast was good but very limited in dairy free (soya only) and gluten free options.
Dinner was good but it isn’t a ln Irish Coffee with whipped cream out of a can!

"Fabulous and seriously impressive - well done guys"
Impressed. The word we all used about the hotel and the Beefeater restaurant. Four of us, two couples, reserved two nights in two double bedrooms with walk-in showers.
We have been many times to Premier Inns and had previously stayed at this one in August 2021. Our last visit here was pleasant and enjoyable. We hoped for something similar this time. We booked a few weeks in advance and feel that we had a very reasonable price for our stay.
Checking in was friendly and efficient. Very impressed with our rooms. Everything as it should be. Tea/coffee. Kettle. TV. Lighting. Bed and bedding. Hooks and hangers. All working and looking good. The 'bathroom' was great, too. All there and everything working. A lovely shower easily controlled and immediate hot water. The whole room was spotless and we had absolutely no complaints about our accommodation and experience at this hotel. We were on the ground floor and next to the busy main road about 25 metres away. There was peace and quiet within the room though. We could not hear any traffic noise at all. Aircon and heating controls were simple although we did not need to adjust them as they were already perfectly set.
There was plenty of parking in the immediately adjacent car park. Parking was free unless forgetting to register number plate. We did not forget.
We all had the meal deals and ate breakfast and dinner in the adjoining Beefeater restaurant. The restaurant was one of the main attractions for our choice of hotel. We had enjoyed eating here on our previous visit. This time the experience was brilliant. We made sure to reserve our tables for breakfast and dinner at the White Rock. Just as well that we did. It was well attended each meal time.
The food was fantastic with a great range of Beefeater style food on the menu. The service was excellent. Friendly, timely and attentive when required. We like to eat well and drink well at dinner and we were certainly helped to do just that with the efficient service with a smile we experienced from start to finish. Wishing we had one of these places at home.
Breakfasts were equally enjoyable occasions. Plenty of food and all tasting very good. Nothing seemed to run out and the staff made sure that breakfast time was a treat too. The tables being quickly cleared and no apparent build up of used plates, bowls and mugs. The place seemed very clean if not immaculate during service. We were fortunate with our timing of breakfast as later there was a bit of a queue for the one coffee machine and the one hot water urn. There was a single position for the mugs, all next to the urn, which compounded the wait. We might have had second cups but life is too short and we were more than happy with what we had.
If only all Premier Inns had a Beefeater restaurant like White Rock, Paignton, we would be out and about more often and enjoying the experience and satisfaction of a wonderful stay.
Sadly, this is not the case. Come on Premier Inn. Take a look at your flagship in Paignton South and repeat the recipe everywhere.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to all of the staff who made our stay so great.
