"Just average"
The room here was fine and we had a good night’s sleep. We were a bit concerned because as we arrived it was obvious that the hotel’s right on the flight path for Exeter Airport a few miles away, but this honestly didn’t disturb us at all once we were in our room. Service was a bit slow because a big wedding party hadn’t checked out until 12, so a lot of the rooms weren’t ready when we arrived mid afternoon. There was also a fire alarm during the early evening, and procedures for checking people out and then back in seemed no existent, and the staff on duty were new and unsure of the procedures, therefore there’s a training need there. However, this seemed a reasonable place to stay. We ate elsewhere.
"Great nights sleep"
Brilliant hotel, very friendly staff. No problems at all. The check in was quick and they had everything I needed. Staff even got brought an ironing board up to my room to iron my suit.
"Amazing nights sleep, shame about the breakfast 🙁"
The welcome was really lovely and the room was modern and clean. Slept in the most comfiest bed ever! Didn’t want to leave. Was looking forward to a “Full English” let down, it was cold over cooked and the bacon snapped in half. The eggs were hard in middle too.The sausages appeared to be reheated. The toasters weren’t working properly so nobody got their bread toasted and gave up in the end. They did however have yummy fresh blueberry muffins so we
"Disappointing Stay Despite Premium Booking – Poor Housekeeping Service"
We recently stayed at this Premier Inn and were unfortunately left very disappointed with the experience, particularly considering we had paid for a premium room. After arriving in the early hours (well past 3 a.m) following a long flight, we were hoping for a restful and hassle free stay. However, this was not the case. The next day, we requested for the beds to be changed, only to be told it was too late in the day (after 12pm) to have housekeeping attend to it. Given the circumstances of our very late check-in due to a flight, we found this response unhelpful and lacking in basic customer consideration. It’s unreasonable to expect guests who check in at 3am to make housekeeping requests by midday the same day. This policy, or at least the way it was handled, left us feeling undervalued. That said, we do want to commend Amelia, a staff member who was genuinely helpful and kind throughout our stay. Her professionalism stood out amid an otherwise frustrating experience. For a stay in a “premium” room, we expected more flexibility, better service, and certainly a more accommodating approach to guests with non standard check in times. Sadly, we left feeling that the extra cost was not justified.
"Not great"
Aircon didn’t work, no window to open. Petulant fifteen year old girl working reception who wasn’t interested. I reported the aircon not working and there a switch out the back to help fix apparently that staff can fiddle with, you know, without having to walk to the actual room. No luggage rack and the bathroom was smelly. There was a working kettle though. I’d avoid…
