Exeter (Countess Wear) hotel

As always, the perfect Premier Inn stay - arrived late, checked in quickly and asleep within minutes. Good location for Truro too.

We stay in many Premiere Inns but this is our new Favorite, The standards are high, many of the rooms are ground floor with just a single threshold step. The cleaning staff are to be commended, it was immaculate throughout, with a bath/shower. Being single storey in part, many of the rooms had no one overhead ! our room was totally quiet and small but comfortable, we will certainly stay here again.

Good happy staff, lovely clean room and comfortable bed. Good parking. It was a pitstop from London to Penzance to break the journey and has the benefit of food on site when you just don’t want to drive any more and makes a decent rum punch. Took my time in the morning and went for a walk before jumping in the car again. Can recommend the Countess Wear Heritage Trail a mile loop with some interesting well written information boards starting just 10 minutes stroll from the Premier Inn, staff very helpful giving directions to the start.

We arrived in the early afternoon after a 250 mile drive. The first thing you want to do is get yourself and your belongings into your room and have rest. The room was spacious, comfotable and clean. The restaurant and bar at the hotel was a good 'oasis' for refreshment and sustenance before we went to meet family. The key to a good experience is your first contact at the hotel. We were greeted by 'Maddy' a receptionist with a smile on her face and a smile in her voice. She explained everything we needed to know about our room and our stay, Maddy gets 5 smiley faces 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁. We needed an extra room heater later in the evening due to the cold weather, this was brought by the evening porter service within minuets. Well done everyone at Premier Inn, Countess Wear, Exeter.

Very nice pleasant experience I would come here again, gent on reception was polite and friendly.breakfast was also very well cooked and cooked to order
