Exeter (Countess Wear) hotel

All i can say is BEWARE. Our stay was ok with friendly staff but that's where it ends . 18 days after our 1 night stay I was issued a parking penalty notices (even though I had put my vehicle registration on their system . I tried to resolve this by calling the hotel direct . The receptionist gave me an email address to send a copy of my parking notice to , the email address didn't work so that's the first thing ,secondly I called many different departments at Premier Inn ,after 3 hours of different and very different conversations I was finally told to appeal the charge through the Horizon Parking portal . I'm waiting for the outcome. I strongly advise taking a video of yourself inputting your vehicle details into the system as proof. All in all absolutely nothing resolved by Premier Inn , not even a sorry . WILL NEVER USE AGAIN 😠

We stayed for a night at Countess Wear premier inn and it was very comfortable, welcoming friendly staff. Parking was on site and very convenient. It was during the heat wave and we were provided with a fan in our room which was a huge help. Special thanks are due to the cleaners who must have toiled in dreadful heat to clean the room which was spotless. Thank you

2nd time at this hotel, has never dissapointed, you know what you are getting with a premier inn, always stay here over New year for staff xmas party and horse racing at Exeter on new years day

Stayed overnight to break up to trip to Cornwall. Picked it because it was the cheapest in the area. Was pleasantly surprised. Room was clean and comfortable and not too warm even thought it had been +30 degrees in the day. The staff were also very friendly. Was also pleasantly surprised at the food in the Beefeater for evening meal and breakfast. Only had the continental breakfast which was all fresh and as much as you could eat and again the staff were very friendly even thought they were a bit short staffed.

Great location for walking and buses to Topsham and Exeter! Great midday checkout and free car parking! Great value for money and super clean rooms albeit dated!
