"Fine for a bed but in dire need of modernisation"
Clean hotel room but unusable Wifi, error-prone check-in machines and poor quality breakfast. Paid £161.98 for a night and certainly wouldn't book with Premier Inn again.
"A little disappointing for Premier Inn."
First the good: the staff were helpful on arrival and looked after my case for me until check-in time. And although they seemed busy they stayed to help me with the self check-in screen. The room was clean and no mould in the bathroon. Not keen on the room lighting, there are no ceiling lights only white uplights, which are stark and leave the door area in darkness. The bathroom did have lots of drain flies in it though which was pretty gross! I was ready for bed when I realised as I had to be up at 4.30AM, otherwise I would have asked to switch rooms. I told reception the next day and they assured me it would be dealt with, and when I complained to customer services I received an apology and a goodwill partial refund. I think this was an isolated incident - drain flies can happen in clean places, and are hard to control but otherwise harmless. I will stay at Premier Inn again, not sure if it'll be this one...
"Nice room"
Nice clean room. Well soundproofed from the traffic noise and the most amazing blackout curtains. The only drawback was not enough pillows if there are two of you, and the duvet is too warm for us ladies of a certain age, so a spare throw or light blanket may be a good idea so we can forfeit the weighty quilt.
"Just opposite Exeter st Davids Train station. Don't miss it."
Second time we've stayed at this great little hotel. We stayed in premium plus room so we had a Nespresso machine and little bars of chocolate. Shower and handbasin had soap pumps. Lovely quiet room (317). I think it was about £100 a night coz we paid for early check in. Imperial Wetherspoons about 10 mins walk away. Exeter is worth a visit. And we will be back. Thanks to the team
"Not a great stay"
- The carpet had not been vacuumed and appeared quite grubby. - The sink plug hole was contaminated with waste, which was unpleasant to see. I attempted to reach reception, but no one was available to answer or assist, and there was no staff present in the morning when I left.
