"Lovely"
Lovely hotel very clean and comfortable staff lovely too price was higher than I normally pay for a premier Inn but it was ok we had been to Ilfracombe too scatter my husband as it was his favourite place it was a bank holiday so all hotels in Ilfracombe were not able too accommodate our party of 3 adults 2 Children due too being busy but I'm glad really because we needed a quiet night after an emotional day the hotel provided that the restaurant is a table table and food was good there too it was a very nice stop over I'd definitely stay here again

"Food awful, restaurants staff not much better"
Room was usual standard, food in the restaurant next door was very very poor, breakfast on both mornings was cold and unpleasant, dinner wasn’t much better, I ordered gammon which was served swimming in oil, the following evening wasn’t much better, the restaurant looked like a playroom for the staff which at times were difficult to find, on the night of the floating gammon steak night, the only one who was doing any kind of work was a young trainee so well done to him, Sunday 30th May

"Avoid like the plague - literally."
Came back covered in bed bug bites. Wrote them several emails and basically been told "nah trust us we checked it's fine". I'd note that checking AFTER you've changed the bedsheets is ridiculous.
Hotel completely run down. Service was horrible. And they had to ration the breakfast in the morning with half the items missing. The 1 thing Premier Inn boast about! Talk about a good night's sleep.
Weeks later I am still suffering from the bites and absolutely no help from Premier Inn. Again - avoid like the plague

"Parking ripoff scam - AVOID"
We stayed for 5 days, our stay in the hotel was great and the restaurant was fine.
BUT a couple of weeks after getting home we received 6 parking fines for parking in the hotel car park. We had given our registration number when we booked in so we assumed it was a mistake, sent the proof we were registered guests to the parking company and assumed it was sorted.
To say I was flabbergasted at what happened is a massive understatement. We were informed that as a gesture of goodwill they were reducing our fines to £15 a day, the guest rate.
Nothing was ever said to us about there being a guest parking charge of £15 a day to park in the car park of the hotel we were staying in. This is utterly unacceptable, and you can be sure that we will never be staying in this ripoff establishment again (we had planned to come back later in the year) and we advise you not to either unless you want to pay through the nose for the right to actually get to your room.
Absolutely disgusting, never heard anything like it in my life. AVOID

"Great location and great premier hotel, very welcoming."
Premier Inn Barnstaple
We had an enjoyable stay here.
Easy to book in with attentive staff and a nice looking reception area.
Our premier plus room (206) was on the first floor up some stairs (no lift) and was along the corridor then into another wing which was where the premier rooms were and the decor was different as it felt even better quality with different coloured walls etc, we thought it was a lovely touch.
Our room looked welcoming with a fabulous bed, just like they show on the tv, exceptionally comfortable and really inviting. A good sized tv, reasonable tea & coffee hospitality with some chocolate bars to welcome us. Also some complimentary water in the fridge. Wireless phone charging by the bed and great Wi-Fi with premier plus rooms. An ironing board and iron were also in the room. There were good black out curtains and good air con in our room. The bathroom had a quality feel with a great shower and good soaps in the dispensers.
Staff here were great and very helpful. There were plenty of parking free spaces but you must put your registration in at reception stating how many nights you are staying as if you don’t, you will get an unwelcome letter from parking eye with a nice bill.
We used the pub next door as we paid for the meal deal for £26.99 which was good value as it included all you can eat breakfast and a 2 course evening meal and a drink. The restaurant however is not brilliant and a bit slow on getting your meals out, seems understaffed but we did enjoy the food when it came.
Just a couple of niggles though, it would have been nice for a couple of drawers to be in the room and disappointed in the poor quality toilet paper that they give you.
We would recommend a stay here and found it very convenient to pick up the Tarka trail for our bike ride.
