Chesterfield Town Centre hotel

Usual premier inn standard. Comfy beds, good water pressure etc. Didn’t eat in hotel so can’t comment. Ideal for town centre & train station (less than 10 min walk). Highly recommend the German bar round the corner (Einsteins) for food & drinks.

Conveniently located for me. Room was a good size, comfortable bed, good blackout curtains, and a clean bathroom with a good shower. Breakfast was excellent with good choices (I had a cooked breakfast). Parking is OK - you have to use a public carpark, but there are two very nearby and they cost very little.

Absolutely faultless as usual. Cannot fault the staff attention and the service in the restaurant. e invited family members to join us for dinner and without exception, they all enjoyed the evening.

Standard Premier Inn Hotel....clean, comfortable, welcoming and friendly staff. The location is right in the centre of Chesterfield with cafes, restaurants, shops within a few minutes walk. The Saltergate car park is just three minutes walk, is very secure and has EV charging stations (only 7kwh but we left our car charging overnight). Why only three stars? Both the tap and the shower head in our bedroom were in serious need of descaling. On Saturday evening we arrived at the restaurant at 5:55pm as it opened at 6pm ( we needed to eat quickly as we had arrangements at 6:45pm). Two other couples had already been admitted. We were told it would be a 40-minute wait as they were so busy and only had one chef!!! Pathetic. Needless to say, we ate elsewhere! Such a shame that an otherwise good hotel with reception staff working so hard to make the stay enjoyable, should be let down by such poor restaurant management.

Stayed for a funeral, staff assisted with early check in, the secure multi storey car park was less than £9 for 24 hours and was over the road from the hotel. Train station was 10 minutes walk away. There were cafes and shops surrounding the hotel and late night take aways were a 5 minute walk away. Would definitely use again.
