Chesterfield North hotel

From the moment I arrived nice welcome from friendly helpful staff there was a lady at the desk when I arrived who had been multiple times here I'm not surprised I was only supposed to stay for one night but so impressed was I with the lovely comfortable quiet clean room best sleep I have had in 3 years that I extended my stay by 2 nights . Would like to give thanks to a few special people although there are plenty here thanks to hardworking Frankie Michelle and Barbara kev especially on reception and breakfast duties, Frankie even was asked to remove a spider from one ladies room she did it with grace Also big shout out to lovely Michelle and Barbara both very kind and patient with me as I kept extending my stay . Finally to the hardworking lovely Hannah and ably assisted by toula managing to run a busy restaurant with shortage of staff due to ill Ness theyboth particularly Hannah did a sterling job Hannah even gave me some great tips what to see also the same for Frankie All in all a five star experience ins I won't forget in a hurry I was sad to leave but will be back the food was great too fabulous breakfast and good meal deals of a night recommend the sticky toffee pudding lush

Located close to many historical and landscape sites. No atmosphere except dead alive in the restaurant. Rooms OK except no air-conditioning which was unusual for the Premier Inns we have stayed at. Very small wall electric wall heater and separate large ineffective fan which did not cool the room. Could not leave the window open when out as it was a ground floor room. Expensive for what the room was. The restaurant was dead alive despite the helpful staff. Food was poor quality and very small portions. (Former Brewer's Fayre had closed & only residents allowed to eat in the restaurant.) Cleanliness OK. Lamp on dressing table did not work. Difficult to access and exit from the hotel due to large complicated roundabout. Had to park away from the hotel door (because of building works) even though my husband is registered partially sighted. Children's playground was barricaded off due to Brewer's Fayre being permanently closed.

Do not stay here. No Air Con, room is 31+ degrees with a poxy fan provided that just blows hot air (and built up dust inside it) around. Very uncomfortable. Limited parking due to works going on. TV was not tuned so no channels. Not what I expect from a Premier Inn.

We were helped in reception by Hannah as when I phoned I thought I had booked for 2 nights but alas I had only booked one night and it worked out very expensive last minute for an additional night. Hannah helped us with 2 rooms next to each other and the same rooms for the 2nd night so we didn't have to move again. She kindly added a complimentary breakfast. This certainly took the sting out of the extra payment . Thank you Hannah, what a star xx🩷

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. Everything ran smoothly. We must mention how welcoming and helpful Judith was, taking time to not only deal with our questions but continuing to research after we left the front desk. The hotel is easy to find and has a Starbucks and large Tesco within a few minute's walk.
