Buxton hotel

A great location and good value for money. Room was nice and quiet, parking a reasonable price and breakfast was good. I would recommend.

I often meet here with family for breakfast and always have a positive experience. The food offering is consistently good and the dining room is kept clean and tidy, even at busy times, by friendly efficient staff. My only niggle on this visit was the recent changes to the parking arrangements. As with many places these days, parking was chargeable, with payment via an App or a card machine just inside the entrance. Hotel residents are charged pro rata for their stay and everyone else is charged £5, which I duly paid on arrival. However, once in the dining area, there is a sign with a QR code to validate your vehicle for 2 hours' free parking. Too late for me as I'd already paid the £5 - this option for casual diners needs to be made clear on the outside of the building to avoid similar unnecessary payments. Apart from that, another enjoyable visit and we'll no doubt meet up here again later in the year, albeit a bit more parking savvy!

No frills as expected, but very clean, friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast and easy walk into town. Parking on site with ample spaces what more do you need for an overnight stay. This was our second visit and hopefully not the last.
