Whitehaven hotel

We had a lovely stay here for 6 nights, the staff were helpful. The room was one of the cleanest ive stayed in. We had a room that looked out onto the sheep next door and it was a real joy waking up to them each day before starting our adventures into the lakes. I could not faul the hotel. We did not use the brewers fayre and the outside could use a freshen up as it looks a little run down. But inside was lovely and I would happily return here.

Got givem a terrible room below stairs and entrance to it, peopl walking down it all night and making noise, we didnt sleep much. Also dirty stain in toilet and hairs in shower. Unimpressrd, Lenny is a liar!!

Fantastic accommodation, really quiet corridor. Only downsize was the breakfast food being cold and plates not being warmed did not help. We were first in for breakfast but from servary to table meant it was uneatable.

Spent 2 nights here..The rooms where fine. Enough bedding pillows if needed. Towels included. THATS the good bit. 1st morning we got to breakfast pretty early. So went ok. The evening the poor girls behind the bar couldn't do a cocktail..admitted out of 6 they could only do 2..1 of which came straight from the bottle 🙄. Second morning went for breakfast it was stone cold. Things hadn't been replenished..when we notified them.they didnt do fresh. The 2 x 4 slice toaster stopped working ..The other half got food poisoning from the breakfast..we did inform the chef who as I said didnt replensh. We informed reception who was so plaza it was unreal. My partner was sick in the bathroom ..and a lovely house cleaner called Lousie came and helped to finish the cleaning up. The ladies loos down stairs had no locks one was unacceptable and 1 had the floor going through.

Where to start... Bathroom had a foisty smell. Remote control was that sticky you could have thrown it at a wall and it would have stuck. Bedroom was above the disabled parking. This was used by idiots in vans, who were not disabled. Sat, engines running for hours, and making a racket shouting. Every time a nearby bedroom door closed the whole room shook! WiFi was woeful. Staff were brilliant.
