"Brilliant Staff"
Provides everything you would expect from the Premier Inn formula, but throw in the secure undercover parking for motorcycles, and the hard-working, attentive staff really make it a five-star experience.

"Excellent as always"
Excellent hotel as always. We have stayed several times before. The culinary staff were excellent with my son’s allergy outside the top 14.

"Lovely clean hotel"
We stayed here for 2 nights as we had come up to visit family so didnt spend much time in our room but we cant complain as the bed was comfortable and we had a great night's sleep.
When we arrived the hotel smelt lovely and fresh and was very clean.
The chef (Helen) was absolutely amazing and nothing was too much for her to do especially as my boys are very fussy, she went out of her way to do 2 types of eggs for them and made sure they had everything they wanted/needed.
Also Janet, (I think she was a manager) was also amazing and went above and beyond for my boys and nothing was too much trouble. She made them both feel very welcome and at ease which put me at ease too as they can be very full on.

"Exceptional Staff/Great Location/Clean + Quiet"
Firstly, the staff! Generally, Premier Inn team members are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Here, at Ulverston, they take this to a whole new level. The hotel was fully booked upon our first night and so our request for a room with a bath (v. shower) could not be accommodated. However, such a room was found for us from the next day and for the remainder. Shannon (if I have not spelled her name correctly, please forgive!) was amazing! She even offered to help us move our things! In the event, she found a safe place for everything to be stored between the old room being vacated and the new one being ready. She then appeared with everything on a trolley at our new doorway. I should also like to mention Skye who welcomed us initially and was always so friendly.
Now, for the location: This hotel is right by the canal (no boats, but, lots of swans). One side has wonderful views of The Hoad (the lighthouse-like memorial to Sir John Barrow up on the hill). It has lots of free parking and is a c.10-minute walk from the town centre and c. 20 minutes' walk from the railway station.
We found the hotel to be very, very quiet with fast, free Wi-Fi which never once failed. Corridors are wider than normal. The eat-all-you-can breakfasts are fantastic! Everything was freshly cooked and attractively displayed. The kitchen staff go out of their way to oblige with available "specials" (i.e. veggie meals, poached eggs, porridge, etc.)
We'll stay here again!

"Not good for winter stop over"
The first impression was very good and receptionist was very personable and appeared very quickly when we got there. The room was extremely COLD! It was more like walking into a fridge than a welcoming hotel room. I put the heating on via the thermostat but after some time there was no difference and it was in fact blowing cold. A trip to the reception and the heating was “ switched on” , no explanation given. The heating took around 3 hours to heat the room sufficiently to take the damp away. The bathroom remained cold. There appeared to be a lacklustre response when it was mentioned before leaving. Needless to say we didn’t stay for breakfast. Have used premier inn on a number of occasions so very disappointed.
