"Good tay"

Stayed here just before christmas for one night, staff were nice and friendly, the room was clean and comfy, it's 2 mins walk to town centre, got a great deal including breakfast.

"Perfect for short breaks"

Arrived as family of three in the evening and the receptionist was very kind and helpful. The room is very tidy and neat, bed is comfortable not too hard, bathroom may need some improvement but no major concerns. Had our dinner there(we didn't pay for dinner and breakfast meal deal, I think would be much cheaper if do so), I had fish and chips, my partner had mixed grills, both are very nice, fish was really fresh. Breakfast was okay, can do better in my opinion, just because it's convenient so no complaints. Overall we are very happy with this stays.

"Rude non customer service skills"

On approach to the premier inn ,(kendal) I was greeted by a female that abruptly said CANT PARK HERE , which was the actual car park of the premier inn, I asked why and wanted to book a room at the said venue, she replied we are having a refurb so no parking can you leave, work vans need the space , I said even if I want to book a room which was the date 12/04/26 can residents not park, on reply it was a strict No, so on the attitude of the individual I thought why would I want to stay here and left , manners cost nothing , as a member of staff to the premier inn I would strongly advise to teach her customer respect ,

"First time in Kendal and we weren’t that impressed."

Location is spot on, near shops, pubs and restaurants. The staff were very helpful, friendly and extremely busy. Atmosphere wasn’t anything to write home about. Breakfast was very nice as it usually is in the Premier Inn. Points to note about our family room on the first floor:- Small Single bed was very hard. The floors creaked so badly everywhere you walked and noise from floor above. The extractor fan was not working. Toilet seat was loose and cleanliness of shower screen wasn’t good.
