"Premier Inn J44 Carlisle - Highly recommended."
Booking was made at short notice and the room was very comfortable, with excellent facilities and restaurant. Having recently stayed at a Travel Lodge the comparison was striking, both in terms of the facilities, comfort and value for money
"Just about average"
Staff very friendly, but not enough of them in the restaurant. Hotel is in need of some TLC and shower very poor and passed sell by date.
"not good"
Poor for high price. Room very hot and no way to cool down as when window open the sound of gulls all night very loud. Breakfast below quality
"Great place to stay enroute to Scotland."
Excellent premier plus room, staff friendly and helpful when I accidentally broke a glass, and replaced it with no fuss. I liked the separate restaurant and bar, nice to relax with a drink after my meal. Breakfast excellent, despite being in a busy part of the city quiet at night, the seagulls added to the holiday atmosphere. Great place to stay enroute to Scotland, would definitely recommend.
"Room for Improvement"
Although this hotel is a handy stop on the M6, there are one or two things that could improve. Firstly, the car park is under a flat roofed building which has been taken over by a colony of gulls. This made it noisy and bird droppings all over our cars in the morning. There could be more serving staff employed at evening meals as service was slow. The continental breakfast choice was very poor whereas the cooked breakfast option was well catered for. Lastly, the room & bed were good but the hairdryer was faulty.
