Carlisle M6 Jct44 hotel

Good location if travelling on the M6. What you would expect from a premier inn room and bed so nice and no surprises. Be careful as they charge early check ins without telling you until you arrive and here are steps to all the rooms. The restaurant and bar aren't open all the time although there is lots of places within walking distance that are so doesn't create a problem.

Great food, good welcome everything great. From some previous reviews we had seen we had doubt in booking here but decided to chance it. GLAD we did. Meals package saved hassle in finding restaurant as we ate "in house". Despite being a chef down (we were told this) the food was superb, tasty, timely served, and good portions ( mixed grill was huge, the biscoff cheesecake was quite big and when I'd eaten it that was more than enough as it was sweet). A slightly incorrect order was corrected quickly and we were allowed to keep the incorrect starter too ( so a double bonus). Breakfast had everything needed, the chef even poached eggs specifically as requested for another guest ( great service). Will we come again, YES WE WILL!

We had an excellent experience at a recent stay. The stay overall was very good, the room was clean and as expected and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were particularly pleased by the breakfast experience. Myself and my daughter are coeliac and when we went to breakfast we were asked about allergies, advised re coeliac and were told 'not a problem' and we were given the allergen menu and advised we could have food prepared separately in the kitchen. We were even given clean cutlery (not from the table pot). We were very grateful to have been so well looked after, and thank you to Stephen in the kitchen for his excellent service.

Ideal location, swift and efficient check in. Room was as I would expect in a Premier Inn, comfortable and clean. Had an evening meal, very poor quality, I chose the gammon which was essentially a lump of gristle and cold chips. My daughter had the ribs, really nice and tasty. The 'staff' doing the evening meal were totally disinteresting in doing their job. It seemed that gossiping about other members of staff and who their latest conquests were, were more important that serving customers. When we were served it was by the only pleasant member of staff. Breakfast was again, very poor quality food. A very poor show.

Very conveniently located off the M6 for us as we headed home from Scotland. Stayed one night to break up the trip back to Staffordshire. Very welcoming atmosphere in arrival. Plenty of parking. Not much around in terms of general things but it’s in the edge of an industrial estate so there are actually shops nearby such as B&M, home bargains, curry’s - the usual you’d find in these areas. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Shower was very good. Nice and hot with good water power. Beds as comfy as all premier inn beds are. I always sleep well in this chain. The bar and restaurant areas are very clean and comfortable. There was a great dinner and breakfast offer on if you wanted it and the food was plentiful, fresh and tasty. Staff were helpful and friendly. Very pleased with our stay. Would stay again.
