"Room for Improvement"
Although this hotel is a handy stop on the M6, there are one or two things that could improve. Firstly, the car park is under a flat roofed building which has been taken over by a colony of gulls. This made it noisy and bird droppings all over our cars in the morning. There could be more serving staff employed at evening meals as service was slow. The continental breakfast choice was very poor whereas the cooked breakfast option was well catered for. Lastly, the room & bed were good but the hairdryer was faulty.
"Food oh the food. Just don’t"
This review is nothing to do with the accommodation. But just had dinner at this location. The food was worse than I can cook and I’m a very very bad cook. But I was hungry and tired so ate it all, and that was hard to do. Not sure how I can describe the fish but very poor, the peas were no longer green but gray and a tablespoonful worth. The staff were nice but service was slow. The manager gave me a £2.00 discount for the peas. I was tired and company paying so didn’t put up an argument. My two colleagues said their meals were okay. The discount made me laugh that was the only positive outcome. peas out.

Great welcome by Callum on the check in, a credit to the company along with Sean (night desk) and Magic (breakfast check in) on a morning. All the staff present the Hotel in a great way with a smile and "yes Sir what can i help you with". The only downside is the prices are climbing soon taking me outside my hotel allowance .. which is a real shame . But that is not the staffs fault .. coming from above.
"Very disappointed"
We booked as a stop over on way to Stranraer, the exterior of hotel is very dated but was also uncared for. The reception area was grubby and the stairway felt nothing like a hotel. The room was so hot and no air con so we kept window open only to be woken at 3.45am by a load of folks getting on a coach outside trundling luggage chatting etc so ended up closing window, if you book here dont take room facing rear car park as coaches pick up here. I didn't expect 5* but this must be the poorest Premier Inn they have. The room was basic but was clean and bathroom felt newly refurbished but that couldnt make up for rest of experience
"Very clean and staff lovely."
This is probably the nicest premier inn i've stayed in. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good. The staff were all lovely from the point of check-in until we left. I would definitely return when travelling this way again.
