"Inconvenience unnecessary"
I had booked and paid for my stay several weeks earlier, and had received my final invoice by email from Premier Inn. The final invoice and my payment forms a contract, where Premier Inn is obliged to provide the services I had been invoiced and paid for.
My arrival was on Sunday evening, after driving 300 miles. I was tired and just needed to relax. Imagine my surprise at being told I could not check in without paying £1. I did not take my wallet to reception and could not do so. The receptionist could not tell me why I had to pay £1, only she would not let me check in. I explained that I had already paid everything in advance. She got angry and paid the £1 herself.
This was an unpleasant experience and rather a confrontation. She suggested it may have been because I had paid £10.99 for breakfast, when in fact it was now £11.99. I said that I had already paid for breakfast, and I had done so when it was £10.99, so i am not interested in what has been increased since.
I was surprised to see the signs at the restaurant showing it was in fact £10.99. Not sure why this £1 should be necessary, and I am not upset by a mere £1, it is more the principle, and the inconvenience necessary for just £1.
That aside, the room was OK, although hot. My stay was just OK.

"Poor hotel, poor restaurant"
Location was about the only thing good about this hotel. Rooms were really hot and could not cool down, staff were not pleasant, we had 1 towel between 2 of us and when i went to ask for a replacement it felt like I was an inconvenience. I had very little sleep which was not ideal as I had just driven up from Plymouth and would be travelling up to Buckie the following day. We were up from about 430am and were ready to leave but had booked breakfast. We were the first into breakfast and the fried eggs were congealed, the bacon was cold who knows how long it had been sat there for and there were flies everywhere. Not the best experience of a premier inn at all.

"Avoid this place"
One of the worst travel experiences.
Booked best room available.
Environment. Like a rubbish dump. Old machinery everywhere. Dirty.
Unkept. Old paint peeling off
ROOM. Clean. Bed smallest double two large people could fit in Airless. One small opening window that only opened about 6 inches
Position. Had to carry suitcases up grimy gloomy staircase and long dark passages.
WiFi. So Calle d upgraded service has no internet connection
FOOD. Paid for dinner and breakfast at Beefeater. Anything we wanted on menu was “not allowed on “deal”. Food we ate was very moderate
STAFF. CHARMING AND HELPFUL. REALLY NICE
CONCLUSION. “AVOID”. Worst value and worst experience

"Not good.. Needs attention.."
This Premier Inn is not the standard of others in the group. Very expensive considering the condition and state of the site. The staff weren't very happy nor accommodating. No real motivation or customer service. The only real benefit was that this hotel still had the original comfortable bed..
